Ahhh, I don't have that map of the TSF, I have the "Guide" map. I see now that that area is over off of 6 by Diamond Mill. Thanks, I am new to the area, so I don't know all of this stuff just yet...I have my areas that I know mind you.

Is the meeting place for Wed. still on? How many are going to that run? I was thinking of going and getting some good HD video of the Jeeps doing Jeep things.

Honey this is the Pacific Northwest you play in the rain or shine. If you wait for shine then you will never get to play LOL

Just dress appropriately.

If one trail isn't a good choice there are others we can choose from.

Exit 57 at 10 am ;-) So if you want to meet us at Browns camp that's cool
We should be there sometime between 10:30 and 11. Hopefully we don't have to wait for any one :-)

If you have any problems you can call me at 503-960-2026. I will have cell reception until 2-3 miles pass Gales Greek Shell Gas Station. After that we will also be reachable on channel 22 on the CB. Using our WF usernames: Oregnwolf & Shewoolf. If you miss us at the Exit 57 meeting place meet us at the Browns camp OHV day use area (staging area) follow the signs to Browns Camp of the Freeway.

Sorry guys, I was eating a banana and marking a GPS spot and everyone went cruising by and I just couldn't catch you all. After about 5-6 miles of driving around back there, I just headed for the roadside. Maybe next time.

We Ran Bates road as well as a few off shoot trails. After lunch we hit Firebreak 5 and ran it from end to end.

TILLAMOOK STATE FOREST RUN; JUNE 15th 2011 NOTES:

I just want to say for all of those that could not attend today's event, that we had a really great time, great company, great weather and we missed you. We ended up with 9 Jeeps to start with and ended up loosing one on the way to the staging area (later to learn he had returned home safe & sound). 7 from the group showed up and a special guest Levi Yackley's Dad attended. We ran 4 different trails: Bates Road, All of Fire Brake 5 (except Crushers), University Firepower, and a small section of Powerline (plus I think we might have hit a few unlisted trails). We had a couple of banged differentials, a few scrapes on a couple of rims, and a loose axle joint, other then that we had no Breakage, Body or Suspension Damage. For a lot of us these Black Diamond trails were not something we had thought of going on right away until we were sure we were ready, But a special Thanks to Mark (n2jeepn) & Ken (IslandTJ) for taking the time to spot us and help us get through the difficult sections. I hope everyone gets a chance to run some of these trails in the future or some of the other trails at TSF. It's a great place, a lot of fun, and a great learning experience. Don't forget the next TSF run is June 25th 2011. We will be running Easy to Moderate Trails (not planning to run Black Diamond trails) so stock and modified Jeeps Wranglers can come.
