I just want to say for all of those that could not attend today's event, that we had a really great time, great company, great weather and we missed you. We ended up with 9 Jeeps to start with and ended up loosing one on the way to the staging area (later to learn he had returned home safe & sound). 7 from the group showed up and a special guest Levi Yackley's Dad attended. We ran 4 different trails: Bates Road, All of Fire Brake 5 (except Crushers), University Firepower, and a small section of Powerline (plus I think we might have hit a few unlisted trails). We had a couple of banged differentials, a few scrapes on a couple of rims, and a loose axle joint, other then that we had no Breakage, Body or Suspension Damage. For a lot of us these Black Diamond trails were not something we had thought of going on right away until we were sure we were ready, But a special Thanks to Mark (n2jeepn) & Ken (IslandTJ) for taking the time to spot us and help us get through the difficult sections. I hope everyone gets a chance to run some of these trails in the future or some of the other trails at TSF. It's a great place, a lot of fun, and a great learning experience. Don't forget the next TSF run is June 25th 2011. We will be running Easy to Moderate Trails (not planning to run Black Diamond trails) so stock and modified Jeeps Wranglers can come.
I had a great time on this run . It was nice to meet everyone, as this was my first time out with the group. Lastly, a big mahalo to jameslee97206, for the link to the pictures (Facebook and I, don't get along ).

Hello all ~
Just seeing if anyone is interested in a little day trip, I did this trip on my motorcycle last year and it was great, and at the time just kept thinking how much fun it would be in the Jeep. Heres the details;
~ Meet at the Mcdonalds in Sandy Oregon by 8am (Sunday June 26,2011)depart by 8:15 head up to the Barlow road trail head, take the Barlow road trail over to Wamic, OR. have a burger in Wamic at the Sportsman Pub & Grub and head back the same way we came, last year we were back in Sandy at around 3 pm, so.... doing it in Jeeps I'm guessing well be back around 5. This is a family trip and a stock Wrangler with Off Road tires should be able to navigete just fine. I'm guessing that most of the snow has melted by now, but PLEASE plan ahead and GO PREPARED.
Please respond if interested,

Will not be able to make this one. Hope to get to the next one. It is a beautiful area to spend the day. Lots of fun trails to try out. Some of the more technical ones are fairly short and there are many connecting roads so if someone does not what to tackle a particular one they can just meet on the other side.

Any idea how many are planning on tomorrow's TSF run? What tire pressures do you normally run on these trails? Looking forward to running with the group tomorrow - Dennis

In TSF, I run the following - all dependent on conditions:

Normal dry conditions: 12 psi
Raining, wet and mud: 10 psi
Snow: 8 psi

I run 33x10.5 BFG MTs (KM1s) on a 15x8 wheel.

TILLAMOOK STATE FOREST RUN; JUNE 25th 2011

Pictures from the Tillamook State Forest Run on June 25, 2011
We had a total of 10 Jeep show up, even a few from another club that was supposed to be trail running the same day and time, but since they where late their members ran with us. We had a great time and the weather couldn't have been better.

I'm going to try to make this run, depends on work though . If it's wet, Bates would be fun to climb .
