No, No future run dates in mind yet, nor have we set up a replacement run.

But any one is welcome to make a run at anytime :-)

Thank you to everyone who could make the meeting tonight. The raffle was a GREAT success. We sold $100 worth of raffle tickets and were able to give out cash prizes of $25, $15, $10, and $5 totaling $55 dollars. We also raffled off two $10 auto first kits donated by Terry and a $40 Jeep “Rambo” knife donated by Dale. Last month Richard donated a $25 Starbucks gift card for the raffle. To those of you who have donated items for the raffle and for those who have given their cash winnings back to the club your generosity is very much appreciated. Thank you!

Looking for someone to help out a newbie with jeep upgrades and such. Anyone out there willing to trade knowledge and shop time for beers or cash? Nothing serious just fairly standard upgrades to existing 89 YJ. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! First Jeep, the book makes it sound easy but I don't trust books.

jgreen, you may want to start a thread that you can post exactly what you need help with and keep all the info in one area. In here you post may get lost with the chatter that goes on.

if you need help with that let me know .

Shouldn't be to much work at all. When we were up there last month the trail looked really good. The only thing I noticed is on the road leaving from the top of Bates back down to hwy 6 ( Bates road )there is a couple spots to shoot that have some garbage. I told Mark about it.

Dave and I where up there Thursday, it does look pretty good, just a few trims here and there to keep it up. I cleaned up a bunch of trash Thursday up at the top flat area. Someone had a party and left their crap.

Do you have to be an official member of your club to participate or is it an open invite?

Also, did you have a date in mind?

and not to pick knits but I think the marker on the map is in the wrong spot.

FYI:
Talked to the land manager and we are only responsible for maintaining and clean up of the Bates Road #24 sections, starting at the lower (east) end of Bates Road #24 off University Falls Road, driving up hill (south/west) to the upper sections about 2 miles. We are not responsible for maintaining or the clean up that is the gravel part of Bates Road that drives to Hwy 6. If it really needs areas clean up we would need to contact the roads division and set up a clean up day.

Hey Cold, we do not have "official members", we have many active members and not so many non active members. Any Wranglerforum member is always invited to our events that we post. Hope to see you out there, even if it for an hour, any help is very appreciated.

Browns Camp / TSF 7/3/12

I have a small group of people that are new to wheeling. We are going to TSF tomorrow morning. We are meeting at 9 am at the Deli / gas station in North Plains across from McDonalds. Let me know if you plan to attend so we don't leave anyone behind. We will be running fairly easy trails since this will be the first time out for a few of these Jeepers....

July 15th 2012 Bates Rd Clean up and Trail Run

The “SW Washington & NW Oregon WranglerForum Group” is having a Bates Rd Clean up and Trail Run.

We are meeting at the North Plains Chevron Located at Exit#57 off Hwy 6

Sunday July 15th, 2012
8:00 AM Meet-in-Greet
8:30 AM Depart (don't be late, this is when we are leaving)

Chevron Market Express 10025 NW Glencoe Rd, North Plains, OR

What to bring:
Dress for yard work
Leather Gloves
Sturdy shoes/boots
Loppers/Pruners (If you have some)
Lunch and Drinks for you and your occupants
ATV sticker (Can be purchased at local dealers Oregon Parks and Recreation Department: ATVs ATV Permit Agents or at Gales Creek Shell station on Hwy 6 when heading to Rogers or Browns Camp)

We will spend a couple of hours pruning and removing of clippings from the trail. Then we will be discussing the modifications to the trail. If you would like to have any input into what is being planned, this is your chance to be there while the plans are being made.

We will then spend the rest of the day running trails at TSF. If you have never ran "Bates Rd" before this would be a great day to come, there will be plenty of experienced guides on hand and great weather for your first run.

Anyone with a Wrangler that is interested in learning about our group is welcome to attend, it is open to all Wranglers.

Hi Everyone,

The large rock pit on Beaver Dam Road is CLOSED to all public access until further notice due to a rock crushing operation. At this time the closure is expected to last four to six weeks. I will send out an e-mail and update the website (Oregon Department of Forestry - Tillamook State Forest Target Shooting) as soon as the closure is lifted.
