Thanks Dave and Doris!

Thanks Dave and Doris, and thanks to everyone who came along for the ride, including myself. I didn't get the chance to talk to everyone, but in time, and if you guys keep coming along, I am sure I will get to meet all of you. I had a blast despite the dust. Today I spent most of it blowing out all the dust inside my jeep and then buffing out all of the pinstripes on the outside of my jeep. Luckily I was able to get all of them out, but I am sure they will be replaced with more next time.
On a different note, I have yet to edit the video but again, did I mention I was buffing out the pinstripes? At least my jeep looks back to normal again.

Thanks again everyone!

I haven't started buffing yet, but spent a long time cleaning the interior, switching tops for fall, and then washing it. And yes.. the pinstripes are in the paint. I think most will buff out though.

When I first opened my hood.. oh my! Everything was that dusty orange color. Air filter was nasty as well. Cleaned that all up too.

Barlow Road 9-1-12 YouTube Videos

Hey all, so I finished trimming up the videos and posted them on YouTube. The links are listed below. There was over two and a half hours of video in HD and there is no way I can upload that, so I decided to upload pieces with audio/CB chatter and during the times we could see. If you watch the videos in order, you can see as Dave mentioned the change in the forest and trees as we went along. Video 6 has the terrible screeching sound of the natual pinstripes we all picked up, (the audio alone could be sold as a horror movie sound bite..ugh). Video 7 shows us coming through the meadows and grass fields. It ends with us getting in "formation" on the highway. By then, by battery cut out and that was it. Enjoy. If any of you want all the footage or want to see some of it in HD, just send me a PM and I can burn it to disc for you and mail it.

Enjoy!

Awww man...

So, somehow the last part of video 7 was cut off and it does not show everyone getting onto the highway. That blows because it was the cool part with everyone getting in line. By time I saw this, I had already deleted the video...what a drag.

Sorry guys-

Carolyn and I had a great time with everyone on this run. She thought that Arizona pin stripping was bad until we washed the Jeep yesterday. Oregon Trail stripping definitely more impressive. We will attempt the buff out some day but not now as we have a whole winter of adventures to go on in the southern states. We leave September 29th for the winter. Thanks again to Dave and Doris for your hard work putting the run together we are looking forward to next year.

Here is the link to pictures we took on the run. http://m.mypicturetown.com/m/share?y...g5xX5A4MhJF6Ng

3rd Annual Dick Hannah “No Roads Required” Off-Road Event

It is officially a go! We have the date, time and location for the 3rd Annual Dick Hannah Jeep Off-Road Show with the proceeds going to the Yacolt Burn Project.

Date: Sunday, October 7th, 2012

Meeting Time: 10:00am
Depart Time: 10:30am

Meeting Location:
Starbucks
11211 NE 4th Plain Blvd
Vancouver, WA 98662

Please bring your own chairs, and water (5 hours is a lot of walking around time). You are also welcome to bring a popup shade cover.

This event will be just as big as Dick Hannah’s Past Events. There will be lots of cool stuff with all of the proceeds going to the Yacolt Burn Project in SW Washington to open more trails.

They are clearing the lot so we will have plenty of room and they are expecting over 100 Jeeps.

There will be a RTI Ramp, BBQ, Raffle, Music, Vendors, and more!!!!
This is a great event for a great cause. There will be many sponsors this year bringing their products, and they are working on getting a MASSIVE number of giveaways. They are going to be asking for a donation this year (same as in the past years, the donation price will be posted shortly), but it all goes to the Yacolt Burn Project in SW Washington and they are going to provide food, music, and many chances to win stuff. You won't be disappointed. (The donation is not required, but they would sure appreciate the help with this upcoming ORV area.)

So let’s make sure we let everyone in our social circles and contact lists know about this event,
and help drum up as much support as we can!

If you or someone you know can donate anything towards the raffle prizes, it would make this event even better and help raise more funds towards the Yacolt Burn Project.
Also, if you or someone you know is interested in attending as a vendor, please contact me at: dfjennings68@gmail.com let me know. We want to get as many people involved, connected and up to speed.

The flyer and a link to the registration page will be up shortly!
