Meeting 9:00 am at Chevron Northplanes Exit 57 Off Hwy 26 Depart at 9:30

Trails:
Truck Dent
Stick in the Nose
Fire Fox
maybe Bates if we have time.

Bring a lunch

And this is still fire season so please have with you at the very least what the law requires in the state forest.

26 inch shovel
1 gallon of water
and a 2 lb fire extinguisher.

Oh and for you newer people you will need the Oregon ATV Sticker. here is a list of vendors.
Oregon Parks and Recreation Department: ATVs ATV Permit Agents

Just a quick Update, Firefox is still closed due to logging. So we will be doing Truck Dent, Stick in the Nose and Bates Road. Since the Fire Danger Level is still High, you need to carry a 26" shovel, 1 gallon of water and/or a 2.5 lb fire extinguisher and a ATV permit. See you in the morning, should be nice weather for the trails.

Hi Everyone,

Due to ongoing dry weather and east winds an Industrial Fire Precaution Level 3 is in effect. What this means for trail use is that ALL OHV TRAILS in the Tillamook State Forest and BLM Upper Nestucca OHV Areas are CLOSED until further notice. Riding of ATVs, dirt bikes, four-wheel drives, and side-by-side UTVs is permitted only on maintained gravel roads in the designated OHV Areas. Hiking, equestrian, and mountain bike trails remain open.

Please help spread the word. I will keep this information updated on the TSF homepage at: State of Oregon: Oregon Department of Forestry - Tillamook State Forest .

If you have any questions please feel free to call Jahmaal Rebb at 503-359-7464 or Dave Hiatt at 503-815-7024.

Thank-you for keeping to help the forest safe from wild fires!

It sounds like air but has a metal squeak to it. Hard to pin point without seeing it in person, could be a bad tensioner or bad bearings in the water pump or alternator.

Bearings?

I originally thought that too. I even replaced the belt. If it is a bearing, why would it not make the noise until after the engine has run for 20 minutes? I havent figured that part out yet.

Try this. Let it warm up until it starts making the noise then shut it off, remove the belt and start it back up.

Remove the belt ??? Ok so Im stupid, but I didnt think you could do that. When I do, what should I be looking/listening for?? If the sound is no longer there, then what? If it is still there, then what does that mean???
