And yes the Stock red YJ with street tires (with the help of IslandTJ & n2jeepn) was able to make it down Hogs Back. But since I was driving I do not have picture's but do have some video footage.

No problem , I had a great time. After everyone left, James and I proceeded to the end of Archers and then ran it all the way to the opposite end. Towards the middle portion, we helped out some kids who managed to flop their Toyota on its side. After setting the Toyota rubber side down we wheeled towards the end of Archers and ran Rocky Uphill - uphill, while it was raining .

Mahalo for the pics James.

You will be cruising right by our place :-) We live in Aloha

We will be there so you can meet us for sure :-) along with a bunch of the other guys. We use to meet at a Burgervill, but we kind of out grew the little meeting area they had.

Hey guys, Columbia River Miracle League is hosting a car show Saturday, July 30th from 10am till 2pm, to help raise money to build a specialized field for kids and adults with special needs to play baseball on,music donated by DJ Glenn !!! bring your hot-rods, rat-rods, or tonka-rods to Evergreen high School !! Any and all types of cars, trucks and Jeeps are welcome. Entry is by donation. So I figure if we all chip in(though not manditory) $10 per Jeep that would be great. We will meet at the Burgerville in Downtown Vancouver off of Mill Plain BLVD at 9am and leave at 9:30, we will convoy over to the the carshow at Evergreen High School. If you are interested, send me a P.M. and I will put you on our list. Thanks Guys, and Gals

July 23-24, 2011 (Bates Road #24 work party)

Next Saturday and Sunday is our work party for Bates Road #24 located in the Tillamook State Forest. I hope you can make it out even if it is for a little bit. Any help is appreciated.

We will meet at the “Rogers Camp Day Use Area” at 8am. “Rogers Camp Day Use Area” is located in the Tillamook State Forest off Hwy 6. WB from Hwy 6 turn left just past MM33. Drive .1 to the T in the road and turn left. Drive .25 and look for us staging near the restrooms. We will leave at 8:30am and drive to the Bates Road area to start the work party. We will be working on the upper part of Bates Road #24, so plan on working until noon. Bring yourself drinks/water and food for the day and a little extra to share. After lunch we can go on 4x4ing or have an off road clinic. Suggested items to bring for personal use, gloves, sturdy boots/shoes, long sleeve shirt, long pants, safety glasses, I’ll have the tools.

See go Dan!

Really for those that were not able to make this run you missed a great day.

BTW, for those with stock, no lift of even slightly lifted JKU's we drug bottom on most of the high filter bumps getting out of the Bates.

I have been slowly building out and upgrading the JKU and its beginning to become the Jeep I'd hoped for.

#4 on the first run for the front bumper due last of August, so until then the winch sits on the floor in the garage.

Looking good. My long time friend in Oympia,Wa. Has two JKU's.. his and hers, they love them.
These things make some trails look easy compared to our smaller wheelbase wrangler's... But there's always trade offs. I know one thing the JKU's can make excellent wheeler's as well..
