We will be running the 6.7 mile 4x4 loop trail, it is rated easy. We will be meeting local wrangler forum members, who know the area and trail. They will be with us to show us the different parts of the trail and spurs of the trail.

Discover Pass is “REQUIRED” and enforced at the State forest.

We will meet at the Safeway located in Belfair Washington.

Gather: 0930 am
Leave: 1000 am

Portland Oregon (I-5 Bridge) to Belfair Washington, 147 miles about 2.5 hours driving time.

Arrive at the Belfair Safeway

We will have a caravan for those that are driving up and back on the same day. There are some going up the night before and staying at a motel or camping. There may be some staying up there on Saturday night after the run.

For those that are caravanning up, we will meet before 7am at the Gee Creek Rest Area (I-5 NB Washington exit MP11 just north of the I-5 / I-205 junction) and leave at 7am sharp as we need to be in Belfair, WA by 9:30 am. Make sure you have a full tank of before arriving. We will make a stop at the Scatter Creek Rest Area MP 90 north of Centralia, WA.

This is a long day so have yourself and your vehicle prepared for the day. It is over a 300 mile round trip depending on where you are coming from. The same day drivers will be at least 12 hours out and about, 3hrs drive up 6 hours 4x4ing and 3hrs drive home depending on stops. Belfair Safeway has gasoline, Starbucks, rest rooms, and food for the day. Make sure you bring water, food, snacks, money, and dress for the changing weather.

That Tahuya run looks really cool. Sadly I can't make it with work. Anyone plan on going in April or May? I'd love to go with enough fair warning. In the meanwhile, you guys have fun and be safe!

Can't wait to see the pics and videos!

Well if you guys are willing to make this trip to Tahua, me and triple could host a run at Elbe or Evens creek.

These places are our back yards. If you havnt been to either you would be in for good times. Elbe hills and Evens creek are lots bigger than Tahua.

Bummer! Really wish I could make it. I'll be visiting a friend in Seattle this weekend. I'll watch the thread for future rides for sure. Thanks!
Do many solo girls turn out with these rides?

Some good pics in there!

Keep and eye out! Smaller runs happen frequently.

Yup, a little... It was an interesting "stuck", the bottom portion or my differential was placed in a small void between two good sized rocks. Essentially, there was rock in front of my diff and a rock behind it which prevented any forward or reverse movement, not to mention that my rear tires were off the ground. My front tires just dug into the soft dirt in front of me . Had fun though . Mark had an impromptu recovery clinic and used a Hi lift, a Hi lift wheel mate accessory, a poly strap, D rings, his Jeep, and a few well stacked rocks to get me moving again. Mahalo to Mark, Dan, Rich and the others who I missed - in getting me rolling again.

With 21 Jeeps and in the interest of time for completing both the north and south loops, I did not have a chance at Yellow Jacket. Perhaps I will get another opportunity this summer .

That might be able to happen. I've been to Elbe a couple times, usually camp for the weekend. How is Evens Creek?
