Jolly Jeepers Rally

Hey all, is anyone going to the Jolly Jeepers Rally at TSF on the weekend of July 19-21? I am registered, and was wondering if other peeps were going, maybe we can form a group together?

You guys can PM me if you like so we don't clog this thread.

On a different note- I don't want to be a salesman, but I met with Leonard from Leonard's Off Road yesterday and he has some extra Wrangler parts for sale including:
A pair of brand new Warn rocker guards for a wrangler.
The winch bar to protect your winch on a Warn bumper (also new), may work for other bumpers too I am sure.
A kit to beef up your Dana 30 including axle shafts, U-joints, etc.

Just give him a call if you are interested....
Take care all-

Road 57. Anthony Lakes to Granite anyone want to go??

I'm headed up to Anthony lakes Skii area in the morning. I was in there from the granite side last weekend and had first tracks. The road it still drifted shut. I didn't have time to wheel all the way through to the Skii area. There is a bunch of good snow, rock, and some mud on the spur roads. I'm leaving milton freewater between 7 to 8am in the morning.
Text me if you would like to come.

Hey Everyone, we need to place our shirt orders first thing tomorrow morning so if anyone who hasn't yet registered is planning to please try and sign up today.

We'll add a buffer to the order for those who register later but getting signed up now will help guarantee everyone gets a shirt as well as planning accordingly for food.

America's Best Value Inn in Forest Grove has stated that if you call to book and mention our event they will discount the room. For example a room with two beds normally goes for $80+tax a night and would be $65+tax a night. Their number is 503-357-9000.

Over the past 24 hours we have ran into an issue related to the necessary event permits required to use the trails at Tillamook State Forest as an organized group. While this is hugely disappointing for everyone I am sure, we have adjusted the event and the plans still include the meals, shirts, and raffle prizes. Please review the plans below and I encourage you to remember the purpose of the event is to support this great cause which we will still be able to do even with this change. If anyone has any questions or would like to change their registration status please feel free to contact me directly and I'll be happy to answer any questions. If you have friends or family who have not yet registered but planned to on the day of the event please help us in spreading the news of the plans changing. The updated details are as follows:

New Event Location - 4625 NW Brookwood Parkway, Hillsboro, OR 97124 (Genentech, we will use the Gravel Parking Lot that is accessed from Evergreen Parkway; please do not use the Brookwood Parkway entrance)
NOTE - ALCOHOL IS NOT PERMITTED ON PREMISES

Registration Start Time - 09:00 on 06/15/13

Event Schedule
•09:00 - 10:00 - Registration and sign in
•10:00 - 11:00 - Offroad Vehicle Show, Meet and Greet
•11:00 - 12:00 - 1st Round of Raffle Prizes
•12:00 - 13:00 - Lunch served and 2nd Round of Raffle Prizes begins
•13:00 - 17:00 - Vehicle cruise from Hillsboro to Oregon Coast and Back with stops for photos along the way; group may also stop at Tillamook Factory for Ice Cream (Depending on Interest)*

Thumbs up Ladies Only Basic Off-Road Clinic

June 30th will be our Ladies only Basic Off-Road Clinic.

We will cover basic off road Technic. Starting with what the basic recovery gear is, how to disconnect , air down and how to shift in to and out of 4 High, 4 Low, and back to 2 high. Then we will hit the trails for a hands on driving lesson.

This clinic will be for first time drivers and those with a little experience but would like an easy laid back learning atmosphere.

We will have Female instructors, one to lead the first timers and one to lead the more experienced drivers.

Please RSVP to me so I can get a list going, please tell me your experience level when RSVPing.

You can post to this thread, privet message me or email me at shewoolf@gmail.com

Hope to see you there!

Say Dave, this is the same date, time, meeting, and location of the run I posted on 6-13:

I think this will be perfect since there will be enough of us there to break up into groups based on skill level/trails to run. The only issue is my run was scheduled to be "open", so I can take any non-wrangler vehicles into our ranks too that day if you like. Let the good times roll, esp. if they happen to be 35" tires that roll those good times.

See you then!

Just a point of clarification, I understand this forum thread is for "Wrangler Events Only", so this run with Oregonwolf will be for Wranglers. I have an open run/hospitality run that same day and meeting at the same place that will be for wranglers and non-wranglers. Wranglers can certainly decide that morning which group they would like to go with and the non-Wranglers, or Wranglers with friends who don't drive Wranglers can come with me while we make fun of your friends for not driving a Wrangler. Just kidding, I just want to respect the guidelines for this forum thread. See you all Sunday AM, I think it will shape up to be great run and weekend!

take care fellas
-skjeeper

(btw- I think the word "Wrangler" was used one too many times in this post, but I hope you all understand what I am saying.....)

Jones Creek Road is Trail #83 and is going to be rated Moderate. It was a Class I trail, but last week it was modified for class I, II, & III up to 80" wide. It is officially open to the public and is a fun 1.4 miles of trail going south to north. If you run it North to South it seems more like a easy trail.

Meeting Time: 9:00 am
Depart Time: 9:30 am

This will be a easy to moderate run for stock to modified Jeep Wranglers. We will be running the following trails:

Jones Creek Road
Stick in the Nose
and others depending on the capabilities of the Jeep Wranglers that show up.

What you will need:
*A class II ATV permit (which can be purchased at any of the locations found here): Oregon Parks and Recreation Department: ATVs ATV Permit Agents
* 2lb Fire Extinguisher
* Full Tank of Gas
* Something to eat and drink

We will be on CB Channel 22.

Hope to see you out there.
Sorry for this but I just found out that I have to cancel the TSF Newbie Run on Sunday, June 23rd. I will be working with the Land Manager Dave for the Diamond Mill area on Truck Dent during the Mt Scott Motorcycle race event that day since they will be running Truck dent while it is under construction. I will reschedule the Newbie run for another day.

Mahalo Oregonwolf. I think it is great that the ODF is expanding the number of class II trails at TSF. Honestly, I've never ventured north of hwy 6 since there was only a single trail #123, I'm happy to see another one to enjoy.
