Wasnt unhappy. Two reasons why i switched. One was alot of people are are starting to run them, and I want my YJ to look different from all the rest. Also when I bought mine they only had one style for the rear. This made it so I couldn't stretch the rear back like I need to. So when I sold them it was the full set or nothing.

Here she is with the full Metalcloak set

This is Genright front fenders with 4in flare, custom boat side, and davescustomsunlimited comp cut corners with 4in Genright flare.

Now that Im back from my Moab trip ill get started on stretching both front and rear.

Anyone planning on heading out to Browns this weekend? If I can finish up some work on the TJ, I was thinking about heading out there on Sunday.

Had a great time with Russ Sletterink at TSF yesterday, ran the University Powerline, all the Powerline trails and Cedar Tree. We decided to run University Powerline the other way as one last run before heading home and encountered a TJ on its side. Turned out it was two young ladies that were out for their first trip wheeling and she got a little high on the bank coming down the hill. Good thing was nobody was hurt and between Russ and I we had enough gear to help. We drove back around to come up the back side and recover from above. We started with a snatchblock and tree saver attached to a strap on the drivers side frame to pull the wheels towards the bank, then we tied off with a strap around the roll bar to another tree saver. Next we attempted to get the wheels fully underneath by using the roll bar on the passenger side of the rig, this didn't work so we went to the frame near the front passenger body mount. We got it as far as we could this way, then I got in and turned the wheels down hill while Russ started letting out line allowing it to slowly roll back onto the trail. We finished up with Russ attaching a snatchblock to her receiver and running the cable back to his TJ, pulling her back uphill so we could disconnect our anchor strap. After only a couple hours we managed to have her back on her wheels and bagged up all the dirt that was contaminated with fluids. Gotta love a Jeep, after sitting on the side for several hours it fired right up and ran like a champ, transmission wasn't happy since she leaked out most of the fluid and wouldn't go into gear so I pulled her back to Brown's Camp so they could use her friends car to grab some fluid. All in all it was a great learning experience for me and made me realize that I still need more recovery gear and desperately need to attend one of Mark's recovery classes.

Last minute, but it's been all work and no play, and I'm a dull boy. So I'm heading to browns camp tomorrow around 8-9am tomorrow (sat), if anyone else would like to join. At this point it's just myself and the better half. Might do power line, cedar tree, firebreak 5, hogs back.

Dennis,

Sorry we couldn't make it by to see you. Would have loved to see you and Carolyn again. We wheeled everyday and had a great time, but were a little tired at the end of each day. We did the Jeep Jamboree on Friday and Saturday, and left early Sunday morning. Hope to see at a get-together the next time you're in town.

Great looking JK! It will be hit and miss for me.. last weekend and this were/are working weekends.. If you're up for some lighter trail runs sometime, make sure to let me know. Am curious about how many back country routes there are from the Nestucca up to Browns camp.

Fall Colors Cruise

Saturday - November 2nd 2013

This scenic cruise is for all wranglers stock and or modified.
We will gather at the Chevron that is near Mile Marker 15 off SR14 in Camas/Washougal Washington at 08:30am and depart at 09:00am. This run is pavement and forest service roads. A Washington “Discover Pass” and “NW Forest Pass is “required” where posted. I recommended that you have them in case we enter areas that they are required to have.
Have a full tank of fuel, bring water, food, snacks, money, and dress for the changing weather conditions we may encounter.

We will drive to Carson Washington then to 4 corners. From there we will drive and make a loop around the Indian Heaven Wilderness area within the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.

Gather at 08:30am
Depart at 09:00 am
Chevron Gas Station
Jimbo’s Deli Mart East
165 C St Washougal, WA 98671

DIRECTIONS TO THE MEETING PLACE

From I-5 and/or I-205 in Washington drive eastbound on SR14 towards Camas/Washougal Washington.

Take Exit 14 (500 West / Union St / 2nd St). (You’ll have two options)

1) Drive to the first roundabout and continue east on Front Street, at the second roundabout go north passing under the freeway. You will see the Chevron looking to your left. Go around that roundabout and then the Chevron will be on your right.
2) Drive to the first roundabout and go north under the freeway, turn east at the second roundabout and continue on SE 8th Ave it will turn into C street, Chevron will be on your left.

Going to be fun tomorrow. Come join us for our annual "Falls Colors Run", AKA: Winter Storm Run! LOL
