I have a set of 5 stock 17" moab rims that I took off the jeep when I bought it new. I need to get rid of them for a low price to make room in the garage, so PM me if interested.

You've got the rims, I've got the tires. A marriage made in.....the garage.

Yea it was a lot of work. Im starting to get into even harder stuff that was taking its toll on the jeeps reliably. Also my YJ was my DD, and it was a very crappy ride with those leaf spring. So I used the money I got for my YJ on a beautiful 2007.5 Chevy 2500 dirtymax.

LED off road lights?

I bought a set of “Vision X Optimus series round 10-watt led lights 20 degrees”. I had moisture/fogging behind the lens of one. Took it back and replaced it to have moisture/fogging again behind the lens. I replaced both of them with the “Rigid Industries Dully Series 15-watt Led”. Today I noticed that both of them have moisture/fogging behind the lens. Anyone else having this issue with the LED lights?

Just got my Jeep and it is totally stock. a 2010 JKU. Would love to get together with some folks and start to get ideas to start to implement over the next few years as I slowly build up what I want.

I look forward to the next get together and seeing what people have done in the local area.

What is new for 2014

Terry and I started this group on Wrangler Forum several years ago because we did not like what the other clubs offered or were doing. The intent was and still is to promote Tread Lightly, offer training in driving and vehicle recoveries, adopt a trail and enjoy the company of others that like to be outside and who like to challenge their vehicle and driving skills. David and Doris Jennings stepped in to help, and they set up our Facebook page and have helped with many of our monthly runs. And our group has continued to grow.
We had been talking recently about the name of our group and wanted to make it more identifiable to others. We have gotten good response from all of you on our name choice of Wranglers Off Road. This name will give us better identity in the community. I secured a Web site with a domain name for the next 5 years. ( www.wranglersoffroad.com now under construction – and more to come later)
As our group has continued to grow David and I have asked for help. It is time for the group to get more involved because we are growing in size and area. (Thanks!!! Rhododendron, Tigard, Hillsboro, Forest Grove, Skamokawa , Clackamas, Portland, Salem, Vancouver, Battle Ground, Camas, Aloha, North Clark County, Hood River, just to name a few, we are always glad to see you all attend events from such a distance)
I wanted take this opportunity to talk about our GTG/Meetings. No matter where we hold them we will not make everyone happy nor can everyone attend. Leonardo’s was originally picked because they gave us the room for free, would schedule us for the year in advance, they put on additional staff on our Sunday Night, and most of all the available parking that we can see from the meeting room----- it is quite the kick to see 30 Wranglers parked out there on a Sunday afternoon! We know that it is a good distance for some of you to get there on a Sunday afternoon; we have asked in the past if anyone had another place to have a GTG/meeting to let us know. No one has come forward with any ideas.
There are pro’s and con’s to having a place to meet at the same time and date every month. There are pro’s and con’s to moving the meeting place to someplace different. There have been great comments and good ideas that I’m reading on our Facebook page, but I really need involvement from you the members. I’m open to ideas if any of you really want to change the location but you need to do the foot work and bring it back to the group at a monthly meeting. We also need to take into consideration the “silent”, we have 80 plus members on Facebook and only a hand full are making comments. We need to look at the BIG PICTURE.
For 2014: I would like to see an events coordinator (Dave and I need help in setting up events and leading runs)
I would like to see a GTG coordinator for 2014? (Maybe we opt to move the meeting to different locations several times during the year.)
Anyone interested? Let me know if you are, the door is always open to ideas!
Mark
