Trails around Portland

So I moved from the Bay Area to Los Angeles and had to buy a vehicle. Decided to get my first Wrangler and now i will not sell it. Now I have to get out of this place. It is the worst place I have ever lived. I was thinking about going back to Oakland but don't want to deal with my soft top getting sliced by crackheads so I'm really thinking about Portland. I was just wondering if there are any places to go wheeling in the area?

Yes there is. LOTS 2 hrs drive and you can be at the beach, or up in the mountains or in the desert. PLENTY of off road potential in the Portland/Vancouver area. If you make it up this way, let me know, I can hook you up with our newly created Wrangler Club

Sounds awesome man. It won't be for a few months. I'm on tour right now, actually in Portland tonight. But I won't be back to work for another 3 weeks. And then I'll have to save for a bit

I just party haha. I don't play instruments any more but I try and go with a friends bands a couple times a year. It's kinda like free traveling. Don't have to pay for gas and get to meet new girls everynight!

Fossboss, you will need to plan to attend one of our meet-in-greets. And plan on attending one of our 4x4 clinics. Yes, learn to drive your jeep the first year stock before you make any mods it will make you a better off road driver.

If you are still in town Tomorrow night we will be having a GTG in Vancouver you are more then welcome to come meet the gang. :-)

Portland is a wonderful for being smack dab in the middle of just about any type of terrain you could want. Like FFRob said 2 hours or less and you can drive Dunes, Mountains, desert and everything in between.

Go up I-5 into Washington, go to the 134th Street exit, and turn RIGHT at the light, go to the next light and turn RIGHT again. We will be at the Burgerville right there on the LEFT
