Trails with good views

Hey everyone,im located here in Saint Paul and im looking for some trails that have some great views of the landscape. Ive done lots of dirt bike riding over in eastern oregon(china hat, four corners, on top of santiam pass) but ive only hunted and fished here on the west side and am curious were are some spots i can take the my old lady and my little girl out for the weekend. Nothin to hardcore but dont want to spend the day on fire roads. Thanks.

I'd like to help ya, but anyplace I have been would be a long drive for you from St Paul .
You just going to have to get up in the coast range once the weather breaks so you can see.
I have drivin up to the top of Mt. HEBO on the coast (between Tillamook and Lincoln City)
There used to be an Air Force Radar station there in the 50's and 60's, it's torn down now, but from Hebo you can see for miles over the coast range.
That would be a good drive for you and the family....If you take the highway west to Lincoln City , you can turn off to the North at Grand Rounde, take the back road thru to HEBO. . Long drive but you can fool around at the beach. good thing about that back road is no traffic. We drive it once in a while when we are over there.
There are lots of roads west of Yamhill, if you take the Nestucca river road, that takes you thru to the coast also, you can do a little exploring off that road. Lots of camp grounds along the river. There are gates ,you will just have to get off and drive some of the roads til you find one thats open and find what your looking for.
As for this area of the Coast range, go to the summit of highway 6 ( to tillamook)and turn left go as far as you want, and you can drive thru and back onto the highway if ya know where your going. All along highway 6 there are roads, just have to explore.... Get a good map so you know where your goin.. Have fun ! "BH"
