Hey gang, so yet again, I've got the "itch" to go to Tillamook- so do you have the "itch" too? I'm thinking Sunday April 28, since everyone went to Tahuya and with the "Go Topless" date in May 18 this should be a nice date in-between. I hope the weather will be nice that date, nice enough to have the top down but still be muddy in places, snow in places, and best of all, no dust (hopefully).
Date: Sunday April 28, 2013
Time: Head out by 0830AM from the North Plains Chevron Parking Lot. To get there, take US26 West past Hillsboro to Exit 57, turn right and meet in the back of the Chevron there.
Level of Difficulty: All levels are welcome, if the past events are any hint, we should have enough for two groups, one for beginners and newbies, the other one for those who wanna get down and dirty.
Trails: Depending on who and how many show up, I am thinking of working west to east through the park. Archers to rocky uphill, hogs back, etc. and maybe exit through cedar tree or powerline. Maybe University Firepower will be open? Firebreak 5 and RockyUphill are on my list, but for those who want to do it. No peer pressure, just pressure to have fun in front of your peers
Who can come: I guess since this is "my" event, I will call it a "hospitality event". Wranglers are welcome since this is the respective forum, but if you have friends who drive a Toyota, Samurai, or another Jeep- Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Liberty, etc. bring it, as long as you are friendly and not an anti-social trail destroying fool, it's all good. No trash talking of the other guys' rig, unless it's your friends' rig. I would prefer if no one pulled up in a Ford Excursion, Chevy Suburban, Hummer, or some other sheet metal monster of similar size.
Gear: CB or FRS radio, valid ATV Permit, shovel, water, food, warm clothing, air compressor, positive attitude, you know the drill.
Who wants to go and get down?
