The snow was so deep, I got high centered and lost all forward and rear momentum.

Yeah I had a blast too. I was very impressed with how my stock JK handled everything. I have a new respect for that thing.

Well, it turned out we (son's Cherokee and daugher's YJ) got a late start and missed connecting with you guys, but we didn't miss all the fun. We kept it pretty tame down on the forest roads, Powerline and such. We did do the lower part of Cedar Tree, which we found plenty challenging in stock trim. Figuring it would get much harder going, we turned to go down the forest road at the first passing, and

for us too. Good thing we had a shovel and good tow strap, though a winch sure would have been handy.

We ended up going back down that lower part of Cedar Tree... thought my daughter was going to kill me as she wasn't that hot on it the first time through, while my son had a blast. Going back down did raise a question: is there trail etiquette as to which way to follow a trail (up vs down etc)? Obviously what goes up must..... I presume you just look for a wide spot if someone's coming the other way, but is it generally uphill has right of way or some such thing?

Hopefully we'll be able to connect on a future ride, though I think we'll need to beef up our equip a bit first!

All things safe, generally the uphill driver has right of way on a trail incline.
