Windshield Sun reflector

I went to Bi-Mart last week and noticed a bunch of those reflective mylar sun shields for putting in the inside of the windshield when ya park the Jeep.
I looked on the back at the application listing and sure enough it listed JEEP WRANGLER.. So in the cart it went.
Got it home and decided to try it out....No way would that thing fit , wayyyyy too big all the way around.
If I want it to fit ,I'd have to cut atleast 6" off the bottom for the whole length.
So far I haven't done that.
I did go back and look over the rest of the reflectors hanging there and I didn't see one that looked that much smaller.
I was able to get this one to work by holding it to the Sun Visors with Clothes pins on each side.
It does seem to help keep the inside cooler while it's parked in the driveway.
I was wondering if any of you guys have a reflector that actually fits ? if so, what brand is it ,I'll try to find one locally.
I can still take this one back, I kept the box, but I don't see any that are better....
Yea, I know....It's lots cooler with the top off....
Thanks.."BH"

I havent used a sun visor since I lived in Arizona. It sounds like you are using the fold up kind. Have you trued the fabric ones that have the metal band inside that pop open? I know they make those in different sizes for all sorts of car.

Yea....I know. But if I took off the top, where in the world would I store it around here ???? I have a 30X60 shop and it takes me an hour just to clear enough room to nose the Jeep inside to change the oil or do any work on it.
Besides.....it'll rain tomorrow and the next day, and the next day.........

Today I finally fixed the Sun Shade !!!
I measured the windshield at about 14 1/2" high inside ..... Marked the folding shade and ended up cutting about 6" off the bottom of it.
Now it fits perfect and I like it......I didn't like it before, I hated it, it was PITA !!
In fact I lost a clothes pin down the windshield blower duct today . I used the Clothes pin to hold the sun shade up to the visors....
Now I don't need em any longer, I just flip the visors down to hold the shade up.
Yes, I am that cheap.....Why buy a new one that might not fit when I can cut off one that doesn't fit and make it work? "BH"

I screwed 4 bicycle hooks, $0.79 each, into the ceil joists of my garage over the 4 corners of the Jeep top. Then use 4 6x1 Locking Tie-Down Straps, $9.97, and lift each corner about 1-2' at a time if I am lifting it by myself until I have it as high as I want it. And there it stayed for 2 years until we sold the house and I had to put it back on to move. Now it just sits on boxes in storage.

If you back in to hang it, then you can pull in and park the front of you Jeep under it and top will be out of the way.

I already have a hoist built.....uses a boat trailer winch bolted to a post, runs a rope to the peak in the shop and an old V-belt sheave for a pulley....
All I gotta do is build a spreader to catch the corners on the top...
Not too interested in taking the top off , I'll wait for a while ,I need to take off the panels later to fix the seals...Too many drips.

Yea, I know, take the top and doors off..... Two doors look ok that way, the 4 doors look kinda funny.....
Mine looks funny enough the way it is..... "BH"
