Have a new Rubicon so theoretically I would love to go sometime. Travel a bunch for work and like to go into CNF chasing trout so timing would be hit or miss around those two activities.

For what it is worth, CNF has maintained roads / trails and roads / trails in need of maintenance. The latter are usually side roads, probably nothing that dramatic but could be fun (and calling some roads is generous). Been a while since I paid a lot of attention to those side roads as I usually have had a destination in mind (typically a blue line on a topo map).

Anyhow, beautiful area, good access in and out; would be more back country touring than hard core 4x4'ing. Probably like Prentice Cooper but a whole lot bigger. Figure an all day event verse a quick two hour trip. Since they are "roads" pretty sure if the gate is open you can see where it goes, just stay on the "road".

Would be a good idea to double check the NF website to understand the rules in NF.

One last thought, the TWRA has a giant WMA just north of Knoxville, can't keep up with the names, believe it is currently Cumberland WMA. They have a robust trail network, a day use permit system for OHV use, etc. I don't know much about it other than there are no trout streams that I am aware of and as such, I have never have been there.

Hey guys, haven't been on here in a while. Works been busy. I've been wheeling this area for about 12 years now n know of quite few spots. I'm real familiar with Aetna n from what I understand As long as your street legal your good to go there. There's some easy riding on Roberts mill and Lewis chapel is about 15 mins from my house. I'm really interested in hitting the parks we have here in tn also when I get my jeep going. On that note I'm looking for a set of 15"x10 with
5on5.5 lug pattern rims. Prefer steel so I can later turn em into beadlocks n that they at least look decent. It's gonna be a trail jeep on 37s but I'm single so gotta still look ok. If anyone has this let me know please. Ill try to be more involved when I get mine rolling. Thanks guys

TNjeeps.com is having a meet and greet at Beef O'Brady's in Ooltewah on Tuesday Oct 1 at 6. This is a forum and not really a club from jeepers across the state. The group gets together for rides in different areas and other meet and greets. Come check out the forum.

If everything goes as planned I will be the pround new owner of a 2004 x model. I would be very intrested in getting a club together looks like the last one just fell flat on its face. Sunday I think would be a better day to meet or at least I know they would for me. I will let you know when I get my Jeep.

I guess this plan kinda went flat. I apologize for not following through but between work, family, and my jeep project Being a lot more extensive than planned I got preoccupied. It's about to cold for much riding but my rig is almost complete and ill be ready by the first of the year. I've recently bought a RV and almost got my jeep finished. Just gotta install the front 4.56 gears ( that are in my garage) and I'm ready. Ill keep an eye on here n if any of you chatt catz wanna get something together after the first of the year ill be 100% ready.

Maybe we can get this rolling again.

I got my first Jeep a few weeks ago and I'm loving it. I took it to Prentice Cooper but sadly all the side roads were closed. It would be cool to meet other Jeepers in Chattanooga.

A few of us went up on suck creek mtn this past Sunday. This was the maiden voyage for my jeep on its new running gear n tires. I gotta say, that's a decent lil trail. It's got a lil of everything from mud, rocks, and hill climbs. It's definitely one I'd like to do again so if anyone is interested in getting a ride together hit me up.
