Anyone know any close trails around here. Going to Mountain City next week just to look around Callalantee and what it offers but wish there were some trails nearby that could just get a little dirty on.

Morristown here.

as for trails, most have been blocked the past several years the last one I went on was Horse Creek in Greene Co and they closed it a few years back, I haven't been but I've been told that Big South Fork Park has off road trails for everything from hikers, motorbikes, atvs and 4x4s.

Hey all, I am still learning, Horse Creek is open again, I was through there a few weeks ago, There is some trails along Viking Mountain I have been told, there is also Bumpus Cove between Erwin and Greeneville. I will post some more when I find them.

Tim

Here is a link to some you tube videos I ran across of Bumpas Cove http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...es=2%2C22&sa=X

Hey everyone. I'm going to ETSU in Johnson City. I would like to meet up with some of you guys and go on a trail run. I'm new to the area and I haven't had my jeep in the woods since my 4.0L swap this summer so I need to test it out lol.

I met a jeeper up here that helped me out when I sheared my ring gear bolts off a few days ago that told me bumpus cove was awesome and that he'd show me around when I got my jeep back up and running.

I've bought parts from Tom's before, his prices are decent. But Tom's is about 4 hours give or take from Johnson City. And I just killed my 35 too. I patched it back together and have an 8.8 waiting on me when I go homee for christmas break. My decided to kick the bucket right in the middle of a 4 way and 4 lane each way intersection. Scary stuff to get out and push from there.

Whats up Tennesseans, I live in Greeneville, 30 minutes from Johnson City. I don't have a Jeep but Im looking into buying a 07 X model or a 04 Rubicon. You guys should come down and go with me to Viking Mountain and Paint Creek. Here are a few pictures.

Here is Viking Mountain.

RPM Offroad in Bristol does a great job. It is on the Voluteer Pkw (Bristol/JC Hwy) right up from Friendship Ford. Jason there is great. they did my gears. They have supplies and does fab work too.
