Hey guys, new to the board and to the Jeep scene really. Have owned a Cherokee and a 4runner in the past but just got my first wrangler, a new Rubicon.
I've lived here for awhile but never really did much wheeling. Where do you all wheel around here? I've been up to the fire tower and the beauty spot but don't consider either of those spots as 4 wheeling.
Thanks
im in the same boat.... i started this thread to find local jeepers and to find out where they go .... I do know the quadratec is hosting a big event up at snowshoe this weekend
I've got a question for all you locals. I'm looking to gets some pro comp rims and haven't had much luck looking local. Everything I've found is much much higher than off 4wheelparts or 4wheelonline. Any of you know of any shops that carry some good deals on them? Thanks

On my Cherokee I bought my wheels from 4wheels unlimited in Kingsport. If I remember I got the wheels for around 450-500. My dad got them as a Christmas present for me one year. I'll ask him if he Remembers at lunch.
He said they were right around 500. They do have weird hours. Closed on weekends when I'm free to go. It makes no sense for them to be closed on a Saturday. But oh well. It's Kingsport. I'f i still had that car I'd show pictures but I sold it when I got the wrangler.
this is just my personal opinion but 4 wheels unlimited is probably the most expensive place to buy anything but around here we dont have a lot of options there is a place up in bristol rpm offroad i think is the name of the place
03 the meet and eat sounds like a great plan but then again i wont be able to drive lucky due to the fact of i wont make it far with no water pump :nonono:
Thanks again guys for the recommendation on wheels.
Never could find what I wanted local...well for the prices that i found online anyway.
I know this isn't the right forum, but since its local I'll post here anyway.
I've got a set of 5 - 17x7.5" (5 on 5) stock Rubicon wheels for sale. I've got a little under 7000 miles on them and really haven't even wheeled it yet so they're like new, no curb or rock rash. Spare has never even been removed.
Not really sure about a price, $350 obo.
Let me know if you're interested
Thanks
I second Techguy.
I 've only had mine since August but having gotten over the fact that the automatics are turtles, everything else has been great. If this freakin weather would cooperate I'd be dropping the top and really enjoying her.....I mean the Jeep guys.
I made a bet with my younger brother that if he got straight a s on his report card all semester I would let him have it for his exam week and lo and behold. Go topless day is in that week. Maybe I'll get lucky and he will get a c or something so I can have it.
ok guys seriously meet and eat in the tri cities area and plans for gtd I'd really like for us all to get together before gtd and plan something or on gtd...
Fudruckers maybe?
