I am about to start CPR on this thread... Any info on those Kingston Springs trails? I work with two people who live in Kingston Springs and own jeeps, they had no idea.

tylerd is right on the money, wheelin in the country and Wooly's are the 2 in southern mid tn. I haven't heard of anything in Kingston Springs and I live in Hickman county.

sevenservices thanks for the info on Sparta! Maybe we could hook up and sling some mud!

Trails?

Any info on the trails in Kingston Springs? Has anyone taken their jeeps on the Tennessee Dirt Devil?

We rode a bit of the dirt devil last weekend. We had a blast. It's not for folks that want to crawl over big rocks and sling mud, but it's very scenic and enjoyable. We bought the map from Dual Purpose, and the owner is a great guy... He sent the map pre highlighted with the best spots.

I really want to take my new jeep offroading, but this would be the first time for me and I'd need a really beginner trail. I'm a little scared but it seems so exciting!

I ran into another Jeeper a few weeks ago who said he bought some gps tracks for that dirt devil trail from a Jeep dealer local here. I've called around dealerships and I can't find anyone who knows anything. I would love to check it out. Any info on where I can get the tracks?

No dealer sells GPS tracks for the DD. The only thing available is a (cool) hand drawn map of the DD he sells for $20 bucks (worth it). Once you have the map and do the routes you of course will have all the tracks saved for next time. He doesn't sell tracks or maps to dealers, you have to get the map directly from him.

The map is well worth it. Lots of great trails out there. Nothing hardcore though.

I have some GPX files I have used on some apps that show where others have been. I just followed their routes. There are some real nice ones in the Dirt Devil. A pretty steep rock wall...some deep ruts...some real good creek crossings. I had a blast a few weeks ago when I went. Was scared for a few minutes before I went up that rock wall.

That's Tatum Road isn't it. It's a few miles from my place you should check it out now. It's a lot tougher since we got 6" of rain last week
