See a few Jeeps around, but there's no groups or clubs. Near Jackson.

I'm in west TN, way down south near the state line. I'm about 30 min. from Pickwick and the lake. Used to be some places to ride here then they got taken over with atv's and people got in trouble and some of them were gated shut. I used to take my 4wd truck to dry creek but thats been a while. Now that I have my Jeep I'm going to have to find places to go. There is a club out of Memphis that is on the web Mid South Jeeps. Heres a link.
MIDSOUTHJEEPS.COM - Home of the Midsouth Jeep Club

I'm on there as well. They go to Hot Springs AR. to a place called Super Lift. I have read about it, trails from mild to wild. Check out the club and read about super lift.

I thought that was you I chatted with the other day. Dont know if I will have mine back together in time for the Fall Run. Been doing clutch and had problems with slave cylinder, and thought I'd do the SOA while I had it up on stands. I'm in the home stretch now, fixing to order parts for the axles next week.

place in Dyersburg is 4 wheelers only, no jeeps, Turkey Bay is your best bet for a day trip, I am in Milan and takes few hours to get there but alot of great riding. Just got back from Superlift in Hot Springs and had one heck of a good time with the Mid South Jeep Club Fall run, Jump in and go with us some time, its always better to go with someone instead of by yourself for saftey and in case you break down.

Good point about the safety.:thumb: Yeah LBL is a haul!!!!! 4hrs for me, but I think it would be worth it. Hated I missed the fall run, especially now that I've seen the pics.
There used to be some places over by Pickwick lake to ride. Brutons Branch and "Drycreek" (not so dry)are the only places near me to ride. Both kinda got taken over by atv's and such last year and folks got in trouble in there and they started getting tickets from game wardens and TVA police. But I heard recently that they were back open again, so I'm goin to check it out.

Have another person to ride with so don't have to worry about being alone. Many years ago when I was riding 4wheelers we went to Natchez Trace State Parks to ride and they used to allow 4x4's. Does anybody know if they are still doing this or have they become uptight and stopped allowing people to do this?

:wavey:Hey y'all. Several folks around in the area.
You might want to check out
Midsouth Jeep Club
It's a club local to Memphis. I'm a member there as well and there are a few others here that are members there as well. We have several group rides a year (just got through with a ride to Superlift ORV in Hot Springs). Good bunch of folks. Check them out. :thumb:
