I know I've missed the July LBL trip. I don't do facebook so I don't know how to contact the club. I live in Eddyville, KY...just a few miles from LBL. I'm interested in meeting up with you guys when you come over here. My wife went on the Heartland Jeep Club's facebook page and said ya'll are coming again in September. Is this true? Is there any way I can contact members of the group without using facebook? The reason why I don't like facebook is the same reason I drive a 1979 CJ5 and also the same reason why I prefer the dirt roads of the LBL over the paved roads of America!!! Thanks for your time and help. Kent.

Hey there Nature... If I recall correctly, Jeeper is the head honcho of the Heartland club. Shoot him a PM and he can fill you in on other means of contact. Hope to wheel with you sometime...

Feel free to contact me anytime you think you might want to go. I'll go if I can, since I'm only about 45 min away from Turkey Bay.

thanks for the info inferno...are you a member of bluegrass 4x4 inc? It seems that I live exactly half way in between bluegrass (Henderson, KY) and heartland (Hickman, KY) Both are about 90 minutes from my locale. Also, I can't seem to figure out how to get a pic of my jeep on my profile...any help? Thanks a bunch. Kent.

ageless...I'm not sure I'm ready for turkey bay!! I have only owned my jeep for 2 weeks. I learned how to drive in an old jeep, but I have never owned one until now. I'm a bit scared to a) get stuck, b) break down, c) tear up my unit b/c this is my daily driver...but I would be willing to tackle some BEGINNER stuff any time you like.

gate...as long as you don't take me in over my head, I'd love to hit the trails. I have been on every public access road in the LBL (in lyon county) an some in the northern part of trigg county on my enduro motorcycle, but I haven't set a tire there in my jeep.

You will be fine wheeling with AS, I wheeled Turkey Bay with him and Gate53 then drove 1,200 miles home.

barrie...what on earth were you doing down here from MAINE? that's insane!!! I grew up in Central New York State, but I would never drive that far in my jeep!! Maybe your newer jeep is more "highway friendly" than mine!!

I run a stock 4banger TJ. The only mark I have put on it so far is I can change oil a 1/2 quart cheaper. lol Gotta get some armor. Nature bring the boat down to paris landing on sat and wheel on sun. Or you can anchor right in the camping area of TB. Anytime you want to go just let me know it's only 35 min. out there for me.
