Should've figured that out on my own lol. So it's just the 11th? I'll be out of town until Sunday, and I'm not sure when I'll be back. I'm also very new to offroading and haven't done anything technical.

It is my understanding that these guys aren't hard core wheelers. Just mild trails around the lake. I've not wheeled with them before, but since my Jeep is my DD, I take it pretty easy on her...

That's how mine is for the time being... I don't think I'm going to be able to make it down. Not sure exactly when I'll be back from Ohio.

I'll be there, I think they are going to be running the back roads and trails off the Trace, and stopping to cook out.

I'll do my best to be there. Especially if Inferodoggy is coming. Where and when are you guys meeting? Not going to Turkey Bay? I went wheeling on the backroads in LBL the week I bought my Jeep with a guy I work with. Good fun, I'd love to do it with a group of Jeeps.

I'm seriously considering it!
Like you, it would mean an early morning but what the heck!

Umm... is it supposed to rain this weekend?
If so, I hear it gets slick as snot on a hot rock up there. I've never been, but have been waiting for an excuse.

Where can I get more details?

Let's Roll

We will meet at the north welcome station near Grand Rivers. I would say about 10:45 or so. Weather is supposed to be great. So let's OIIIO. Hey Warlock do you mind going to the north welcome station instead of Aurora? I will bring charcoal for grilling but we will use grilling pits at one of the stops. Does any one have a large grate in case we have to have something to grill on hopefully not.

I've never been to the north welcome station. Would it be easier for me from Mayfield to hit the Trace at Fenton and turn north or take the parkway to Grand Rivers and come back in that way?

Gilead is located in the barony of New Cannan. It's part of the whole Dark Tower theme I've got going on here. I live near Mayfield, KY.

Sam, I do plan on going. I have a Facebook account but I don't log in often. I'll send you a PM later and we can swap phone numbers. I was planning on driving north on the Trace from Fenton but I can meet you guys on the Parkway at 131 if that's ok? (Exit 27?)

Regarding food: Is it a pot-luck kind of thing or do I just need to bring everything for myself and my pax and you're bringing charcoal for everyone? Want to make sure I get the food situation straight.

Is there a simple road number/address I can put into my GPS?

Maybe it's late, and I'm exhausted. Will read this over in the morning.

G'nite all...

I havent done one these cookout on the road with Jeepers before but i figure everyone bring what they would want to eat and drink for their own crew whether it is cold or something to cook. I will bring the charcoal and some foil and the grilling utensils. I dont have a large grate but do plan on stopping at a place where there is grilling pits. If yall have any suggestions feel free to speak up.

Parkway at 131 would be great. 10-4 on messaging the #

Thank you, I think that's what I needed!
I've told two of my friends about this. One of them might make it, the other... I kinda doubt it but you never know.
