well today is my last day with the yj, there coming monday to finish paying..
im really happy for the guy that bought it,its his first wrangler and his face lite up like a great pair of off road led,s..lol,--he loves it as much as i do and thats what i was hoping for in a buyer,,,its been a good yj to me and i will always remember it..
funny thing is his wife was trying to buy it behind his back as a suprise, and thats what my wife done, but i wanted them to come look and test drive it before they commited to it..---well they dropped down a nice deposit and and he is as excited as a kid on christmas..lol
another thing,,my wife bought it for me a few years ago as a birthday present and it is selling the day after my birthday which is today....just thought that was kinda funny..
but i will have another wrangler before to long,,,cant live without one...

im also pretty sure the guy thats buying it will become a member of W.F. i told him about this forum and he is all about it so i look forward to seeing him on here and getting a glimps of the ole yj every now and then...

then i would have to wait untill next december....i cant wait that long..lol

i actually talked with my buddy that has another yj with the 4.0 5 speed 8.8 rear end posi with an ected locker 4 inch rc suspension lift and 3inch body lift full doors with roll up windows best top soft top thats ok. very nice interior has 16inch motometal wheels with decent mud claw tires and he will throw in a set of super swampers not sure what size probably 33 or 35s that he wants to trade me for a couple guns i have that i never use...body has 1 small dent on front fender and no rust..
so i just may have another one sooner than i thought with no payment book..
only thing it needs is front shocks there are none on there so the test drive was a little shaky when i got on and then off the gas..he said he would throw a set on for me..it also has stainless grill and light bezels and hood latches...im not crazy about that but it wont rust and the paint is decent blueish green...but im an olive drab yj guy..lol but on another note one of my tennants is a painting enginer for an automotive company and has wanted to paint for me since i have known him,,,he also done the painting on military vehicles while in the service...he just may get his chance.lol.
now im stoked, i had to sell my beloved yj to pay bills and now in a day or two i just may have another....without having to have the payment,,,what a birthday this has turned into..
sorry for rambling but i hated selling my yj but it has sold to the perfect buyer and another one falling in my lap..--did i mention i love the yj,s....lol

Finally found you guys!

I have been driving the jeep every day back and forth to work. I took Monday off when I bought it and just had to go Jeeping. I put 200 miles on her the first day. I got the door strikers in today and installed the one on the drivers side, so thats all fixed plus now I have a spare. I put in a new air filter, wiper blades and had the oil changed. I am so happy to have my jeep I have been wanting one for years. Now I have the perfect one the hard part is deciding what to get for her next... I have a backseat on order, for the kids they want to go Jeeping too.

i use to drive it to the mailbox lol....there is always somewhere to drive it...lol

Drove her to work again today. Seems like I make excuses to drive her. Havent cleaned her yet, but I did oil and and grease everything up on her. You may be right on the tires, I am looking for a set of smaller everyday rims and tires now.

If the alternator is not charging and the battery is bad it not going to run. It is possible that the alternator went out trying to charge a bad battery

she running now, i trickle charged a battery we had for 1 of our mustangs she is running like a top..you sure can feel the power out of the 4.0 with 488 gears..lol
she going to take a little work to make it a street jeep,,,but that aint happening..lol
funny i just put a new altenator in rmwsaw,s jeep about 2 weeks ago..lol

im telling ya what i can step on the gas in this one and it will just about lift the front tires off the ground,,,wow..what a difference ---im torn right now this one was a built off road jeep but it is in very nice condition it use to be a twin stick but he took it out and stuck it in an xj..that thing is a beast..---i also think i have found the crowd we want to wheel with,,,any of you heard of tim cammeron,,if not look him up on youtube..im not sure if i spelled his name correctly cause i cant spell for nuthen..lol,,,but if you look up lbl dirty turtle you will find him,,,,these guys wheel with him and build those bouncers..
this jeep i got has wheeled with the best in its offroad prime,,,but im thinking about keeping it as capable as it is now and try to refine its street manners a little then i just may have to build a 400hp rail bouncer-i have a 4.6liter motor that just needs a block..
sorry for rambling.....been haveing internet trouble so had to say something before i lose it..lol

Wow glad you got it running Bap. Definitely check the alternator though. I am getting more stuff in everyday for the "war wagon" I can't wait to start putting it on. Nothing major, just small stuff. I love it the way it is, just adding a few personal touches.

seems to be charging fine, the thing set for almost a year before i got it ..
cant wait to see what ur doing to the war wagon ..im excited for you
its funny i just put your altenator on a week before you got it..lol and your water pump should be good for many years i put it on this time last year..lol

like i have said many times im very happy you are the one to get it,,,,i knew it was going to a good home,,and it worked out great that i was able to grab another yj that quick after selling mine,,,i thought i would be without for a few months,,which was killing me..lol===i just love these old 20 year old jeeps, theres always a project with them whether it be upgradeing or replaceing but there easy to work on and can be a real offroad machine and there a blast to drive anywhere on or offroad..
if you ever have questions just give me a call or throw me a pm..
i feel like i just didnt find a buyer but also a friend and fellow jeepen buddy..it feels wierd not having stormy text me every day..lol tell her i said hello..ur a lucky man she really wanted u to have it..
catch ya latter buddy --u need to post up an avatar
