Sorry, was trying to reply to a specific post.

Is anyone out there planning anything I can take my boys on the ride?

Everything we do is kid friendly. We have 5 of the little terrors.

All our club rides are kid friendly. Overnighters where we camp out we may sit around a campfire having drinks, but no one ever has anything on the ride themselves.

That's great to hear, I'm sure I'll be attending in the future! Also, how much are the solid steel 'rock crawler' style rear bumpers with a tree for the spare? I also have a matching front with a winch

I wouldn't go wheeling out there by yourself, it can be pretty rough and easy to get lost!
But if you just want to cruise the back roads, have at it! It is absolutely gorgeous out there!
Weshould see about getting a group together next weekend.

If we can get the jeep fixed, we'd be up for it.

I'd love to try and get out. Unless I get my lift late this week. If that happens I'll be busy putting it on.

What kind of mods are you planning? All my mods were done in my garage or driveway on Jeep Stands.

I'm doing a 2.5" lift if you're asking me, with some quick disconnects I bought of someone on the forum and painting my remaining rims. If you're asking me that is. Also, I love the color Rubaclone. Amber Fire Pearl is the best.

May 21st is supposed to be an organized ride out at Slade. Just want to give everyone a heads up. I think we will have a crew meet here in lex someplace and caravan down.
Tow hooks front and rear and cb's required. If anyone needs help getting that stuff put on before hand, I'm sure others here would be more than happy to help.
I'll try and find more info and post it soon.

An hour from Lex, 33 miles or so southeast of Winchester off the mountain parkway.

Zoe FD ride this Saturday may 21st

Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department located on Route 11 at 51 Zoe Church Loop, Zoe, Ky 41397-9707.

The event on Saturday will start at 8:00 am and trail riding will begin around 10:00 am. The starting point and staging area begins from the Fire Department on Saturday and Sunday. Following the ride on, “Saturday Only” around 4 or 5 pm, the Fire Department will provide food and beverage.

Fees: $20 per rig and driver, $5 for each passenger over the age of 16

They will have three classes of rigs, stock, modified, and extreme.
Recommend at least front and rear recovery point. I went last year completely stock except for the harbor freight hooks I put in just before and had a blast!! I recommend everyone coming.

Highly recommended to go to this. I was there this past weekend for the clean-up ride and will be there again for the Tri-Community ride. JeepAddOns will also be giving away a $100 gift certificate after the event.

This is a great event each year and the weather looks like it will be nice Saturday. Please come out and support the Zoe FD. This is one of their main fundraisers and if you ever get in trouble down there, they're the ones that will be coming to save your butt.

Does anyone ever go to Black Mountain? Go time to time, but never have anyone to go with.

There are some old county roads, nothing big. Closest that I know for big stuff is Slade or DTOR.

It's still open. Jeepaddons-Chris just went recently and said it was fun. I've never been though.

Is there a place to go in the forum that you can see which trails people are going to and when? Looking to go somewhere this weekend.

It seems ta be word of mouth mostly man. Great idea tho. Add me and anyone with a Jeep on facebook close to ya and get out! Even knowing a few folks youll still miss out on outings. Its just a matter of catching those times and dates. My times are random! Never know when im goin.. Where ya at? It'd be good ta add a jeep.

Kentucky Krawlers is hosting a stock/newbie ride in Slade on the 25th. Should be a good time, I'd be going, but can't get off work that day. Info is on the Kentucky Krawlers message board.
