Somerset Jeep Owners Club Charter



We are a newly created charter of a family oriented Jeep Club based in the Somerset/Lake Cumberland region, that likes to get out and wheel our Jeeps, have local Meet n' Greets, etc. We are a charter club to the Kentucky Jeep Owners Club covering south central and Eastern Kentucky. Pulaski, Laurel, Russell, Wayne, McCreary, Clinton, Adair, Casey, and Knox counties. And any other counties to the east and south of London, Ky. til charters are created in other areas of Eastern Ky.

Kentucky Jeep Owners Club also has charter clubs in Louisville, Paducah, Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, and Lexington

We our an open club that enjoys our Jeeps, all makes, and enjoy the outdoors and backwoods trails. To belong, you just simply need to own a Jeep(stock to built), and be active in at least one Club event each year. All events are set up our FB page @ at the link below.

Simply click the "Request to Join" button on the page above, and make sure to have a pictures that are viewable, so that myself or another one our Admin can confirm you own a Jeep.

There are NO dues or fees to belong, and we will be having a week long off-road and camping event @ Pickett State Park and Forest on the TN.KY state line just southeast of Monticello, Ky. off Rt. 167, which turns into Rt. 154 on the TN side. Dates for the Pickett event will be Sept. 12th through Sept. 21st, 2014. There is a camping area at the State Park, a Group Camp area, and rustic cabin rentals. All off roading is free.

There are many hiking trails, a Bed and Breakfast close by, and the closest town is Jamestown, TN. There are many beautiful views of the mountains, small mountain lakes with the clearest blue water. And everything from gravel roads to all out Jeeping, Rock Climbing, Mud Holes,hill climbs, etc @ Pickett. We traveled just one trail from pavement to pavement and it was 26.8 miles long and took 11 hours with a few breaks at mudholes, at Carpenters Cave to eat lunch and have a cookout.

We are also planning a ride next weekend @ Wildcat off road on old 25 between Livingston and London, Ky. @ 10:30-11:00am on Sunday Aug. 17th.

Or in Hazard........Nothing between Pikeville and Somerset/London. Hazard is an obvious choice...
