well the yj planned my weekend,,fuel pump instalation

replaced fuel pump relay,,-worked awhile
she died in front of parts store--replaced fuel filter
ran a little while,,,died
kicked the gas tank fires right up,,,,everytime it dies can kick the tank and she starts...,,,,,sooo im thinking fuel pump,,,and of course i just filled her up....lol

anyone have any other ideas what it could be,,one guy said the ECM but if i can kick the tank and it fires up...gotta be it right..

i have found that alot of these old yj,s are haveing ECM PROBLEMS so will probly change that as well if the fuel pump doesnt work,,or even if it does if i dont sell or trade it for a truck before then..

anyone have any good tricks on easy tank removel.....lol

haahaa thought i would use a torch,,lol

thanks scout,,wat i was thinking might aswell put new straps on anyway,,
im haveing a tough time finding the truck i want and ya never know i may keep it,,i love it even with iys old flaws and i wont trade it for just any ole truck..
i did however finf a killer 77 f150 with 6inch bds suspension lift 4 speed 4x4 swb that looks awsome and runs even betterwith the 460 cobra egine..gets awsom mpgs 8-10 lol, also has brand new big 16.5 rims and tires,,,i absolutly love it but he is not interested in tradeing and were 100miles away and i wont take less than what im asking for my jeep,,i will live without a truck before i sell it any cheaper..lolno matter how inconvent it is for my work and need of a truck,,,,,

Don't blame ya stick to your guns on the price. I think I would also hold out for a truck with better mpgs

25 in town man you are lucky I was getting 17 on the interstate before not sure now got to get the speedo calibrated so it reads right with the new tires. Other than that I is driving great better than it ever has. After I retighten everything. I think I want to change to adjustable track bars not feeling the relocation brackets. Yea I wish we could have all gotten to rush. Starting to meet a few more jeeps around here. But still haven't found any that are wheeling. We will have to get something together this year for sure.
