What's happening in kentucky?

Seems like some of these posts are pretty old!!!!
We are new to our new jeep.... we are lovin' it
We are kinda looking for off roads back roads in Kentucky. We are not looking to challenge ourselves (yet) with rock crawlin' or mud slingin'. We just want to take some nice off road rides with kindergarten challenges.
We might be interested in joining a club if compatible.
we live in Frankfort Ky. and are looking for some back roads to explore!

Picnic, I am new here, and fairly new to the Frankfort area. (4 years)
There was Hillz And Hollarz. About a forty min. trip out Bald Knob rd. It had easy to mild to mildly diff. trails. But they are closed right now. If you know some body that owns some farm land and doesn't mind you cruising it. That might be a good option. I do not know of any back roads that will give you a good feel of your jeep that are accessible to the public. If you keep calm and don't raise a bunch off heck, you can do some simple rock crawling over by Three Bridges Pawn Shop. It is a creek bed, but when the water is down it is a lot of fun. That is where I got the feel of my jeep when I first lifted it. But I would not spread the word of going there, just keep it low key. A place to play lightly.

Have fun!!

Do you know anyone else on this forum from Frankfort? I am new to this site.

fwiw I was down in Dry ridge a fews weeks back and noticed a sign right off the exit, offroad KY trails with an arrow.. not sure what's that all about but might be worth looking into.. could be atv vs jeep trails.

just called the place and they are open on weekends only, must wear helmets and its only 15 bucks to get in, passengers are extra. he said there is about 23 miles of trails crossing all over the property, (approx 123 acres) some are difficult and others are tame.. sounds like a cheap good time.. check out the pics from the link above this thread.

an old motorcycle helmet would probably work.. nothing that needs to be full faced.. i wouldnt think that many people actually left them on while on the trail..
planning on going next weekend sometime.. probably Saturday after my friend gets off work.. ill pm you if we setup anything definite 4Jeep

I saw the same signs while doing a service call in Owen county. I tried to track them and lost them. I did a map quest when I got home and it is do south of Lex. Any way bring a hemet... That place looked pretty tame to me. And as far as no tow ins, they mention rails. I have not seen to many street legal rail buggies. I think the helmets are for the quads and bikes.
When I get this death wabble figured out I'm going to see whats going on down there.

There is a free place in Lynnville, IN that is pretty good. It is right across the river off of I-64, exit 61 going north turn right on 68 then left on Knob Hill Rd. It can get a little crowded with ATVs.
