Thanks for the info! I think me and a buddy are putting an ATK reman in as far as a motor goes. He has a garage and tools which is my biggest obstacle however, I have contacted Steve and I may have him do the tranny. I had no idea that anyone ( previous owner ) could have destroyed a 4.0 and 6 speed tranny SO BAD in 83k miles. Rest of the jeep is mint. Interior and all. No car fax. Motor and tranny are as good as a pile of dust. Pulled the drain plug on the tranny to find a gulf ball size wad of shavings piled on top of the magnet. Crazy. Connecting rods, main bearings, lifters.. gone. This thing has only been driven uphill !
