Nope, I was just too tired to notice what I was typing. I am in Rogers however!

My lil' brother is up in Rogers w/ his Jeep. Been trying to get him into getting it off the pavement, but not having much luck.

It's not a mall crawler. It's actually starting to look crappy as he doesn't really take care of it. I've taken to buying him stuff for his rig for birthdays, Christmas, etc.

I've been off road once to the nearest of road park in my rig, but as it is completely stock, I learned quick some mods are needed before I go back. I'm putting on a lift kit this weekend however! Tell your brother if he needs some inspiration to get off road to look me up.

Will do.

Have fun putting the lift on. Hope your install goes better than my first attempt. I had no clue what I was doing back then.

I'm hoping it's as easy as it seems on you tube. It's only a 1.5" leveling kit from Teraflex, so it shouldn't be too bad. I'm going to drill a hole thru my a pillar for a unity spotlight though, that's what I'm more nervous about!

TF leveling kit was my first big mod back in the day. Took me 3 tries to get it installed. Mostly due to my not knowing what I was doing.

My boy Blu!

I just finished 2 weekend's in a row at SL, trying to familiarize myself with the trails. My wheels are not officially beat to crap.

Battlefest is at SL Feb 22nd. A lot of people will be there, myself included.

Welcome!

SL = Superlift. A local off road park over it hot springs.

Battlefest is an offroad event making a stop at SL. Will have hill climbs, rock racing, etc. Think its part of a national tour, but not sure.

Hope to have the motor running by the end of the weekend...then maybe in time for Battlefest...I'm tempted to just have someone pull me around in my jeep to just recall what it feels like to ride in one...haven't driven since, well, the day I bought it

Yeah, I'm gonna try. Am gonna post something on the AJOS page in a few. Been trying to plan out what trails to do, but looks like I may need to play it by ear when we get there.

Just passing through. I lived in Benton for 10 years. Only went to the Superlift park once with my old 4runner, but sure would love to run through there again. Haven't seen a hill or rock since then.

Just an idle curiosity at this point, but will my un-modified JK be able to run the SL trails?? It's a 2 1/2 drive for me to get there, so I doubt if I'll make that an every weekend destination.

My old stock 4runner did up to 3 diamond trails & I think we did part of a 4. You should be able to spend a full fun day with a stock JK. Here's trial link... Map | Superlift ORV Park

1s and 2s, no problem.
3s, most with ease. Others can be a bit tricky depending on your setup.
4s, a few but I don't know which as I stick to 3s.

I'd be glad to type up a trail route that we use when taking newbies on their first run. Kinda nice to have a planned route so you're not just driving around aimlessly....unless that's how you rol. LOL

I might have to swing down there some day and ride with someone to get into the swing of things.

LOL!!

I'd hate to be running around the wrong way and find myself riding off a cliff!!

I was looking at the map that Surf linked for me. I'm sure once I got there, I could roam around without getting into too much trouble, as long as the trails were marked and I don't make any wrong turns (see note about riding off a cliff above).

The trails are pretty well marked so it's pretty hard to get lost. But I know what you mean. I still get turned around sometimes but I'm learning little by little.

Just got off work and need to chill for a bit. Will type up a route for you that takes you through a good range of trails. When are you going?

Realistically, I could go this weekend, or next. I'm heading back out at the end of the month and won't be back until mid July.
