Looks awesome Brian!!! Now let's put it to use on the 4th

Steve and I have his Jeep in about 1000 pieces, and just got the first coat of Durabak on the tub. It looks great so far. Were letting it set and then going to put the second cost on. He will post pics later.

Said the jeep would be done Monday. I think I've decided to go with a super 35 kit for my rear end, I cannot get ahold of a Dana 44 anywhere that is reasonable.. The super 35 is a 30 spline, Molly axle kit with an ARB locker. It should make it just as tough as a 44.

Drivetrains aren't my strong suit, so I'll have to take your word for it.

Hope you get it all worked out.

Gotcha.

Plan today is install some fog beams that I got free w/ the winch. Don't really need them but, hey, free lights! And you can never have too many.

Not digging my install location that I picked, but I'm too tired to move them now. Just have to figure out an issue w/ one wire and I'm good to go.

Thanks!

Just need to adjust them first to make sure they are angled down correctly.

Will give them to my dad when I upgrade as his tj doesn't have fogs.

That'll work... I guess mine were removed for the stinger bumper to go on... I guess I'll wire my kc's to the factory fog light switch instead of using the supplied rocker switch- keep it clean and neat. Already got ARB switches and don't need holes all in the dash. I hope everyone comes to the meet who "signed" up.. Be lots of fun

Here are some pics of the durabak lining that me and bcpaddler did to my Jeep. I seriously recommend it.

100 grit sandpaper blocks -$7 each ...you'll need 2

Durabak is the best IMO. It cost $125 for a gallon. I used less than a gallon for 2 1/2 coats.

Xylene was $24 at Lowe's ...came in half gallon size and needed maybe 1 quart...disgrace. I'd get of from Crow Burlingame if I were you.

3" foam paint brush - $3

Painter's Tape - $7 - rediculous

Miller Lite - lost count ... ???

Total -$173.xx

I only had one Miller Lite

Locked- The actual sanding / cleaning / taping and painting didn't take that long. But taking everything apart- well that's a different story. Now that the Durabak is complete, the next feat will be to get it all put back together! That will require one more Miller Lite.

Should you want to do this to yours, let me and Steve know. I will certainly be willing to help, I'm sure Steve will too.

Thatd be great! I gotta stop spending money on this thing for a bit. Just got it out of shop. Installed the KC's.. I like the outcome. Now the freakin' thing is idling at like 1200-1400 rpms. guess I'll need a tps soon. geeez. But I will definitely want to coat my floorboard in the near future.

It's not a competition.

I'll take the driver over the rig any day.

Don't know if you read the entire thread but some of us are meeting up on the 4th to do some local mudding. Nothing crazy, just a chance to meet each other. Then we'll hit the ORV in Hot Springs on the 12th.

Come on out and have some fun w/ us. If you're planning some mods, I'm sure we'll have plenty of suggestions to help you out.

See you there!

With a security business and a new Jeep to mod I'm wondering what's a day off!

I'm guessing you don't do vehicle security. Just homes, businesses, etc?
