Quieting rattles - Paint repair

TSP,

I've got a glove box and not a half console in my 16 JK, I love these compartments, the space gain alone in the console is amazing. I have some feedback for the newer model years regarding the USB and cup holder, but I'll e-mail you direct on those.

I'm interested in if anyone's discussed with you, or if you had experience with dampening the rattles that come along with metal enclosures. For the glovebox I've just been putting my pressure gauge and anything else that will rattle inside a towel, and that's worked well.

For the console I'm thinking I need to actually line it with a foam (neoprene or something) but I was alos looking for something durable, like a foam/hdpe laminate (like those plastic/foam mousepads).

I just wanted to see if anyone else has already looked into this.

Also, my cousin managed to put a huge scratch on the glove box, it's not down to metal, I'm just wondering if there's something that would work well enough to cover it up a little.

Nothing has changed yet. The towels are working well for stopping rattles and I still have a big scratch and haven't tried anything.
