Im in for a Sunday as well. We have a corvette business and I have a clothing boutique, so I work Saturdays as well. Would love to meet the Jeepers here in Huntsville!

I'd be interested. Weekends would be best for me since I work early during the week.

what about this sunday? ill be finished with my exhaust, my wireless winch remote should be here and my hi lift jack mounts should be here also =D

so i'll be prepared haha, i have no idea how the trails are over here, in Arkansas they weren't to forgiving, my passenger side fender is testament to such, but that might be fixed before then too who knows? (i hate shipping)

i'm just trying to get the meet going after that i'll need directions to everything, im in moody alabama haha, i think huntsville's the closest group, bout the same in arkansas....

WELP time to enjoy my separation from the military by spending it under a jeep =)

This Sunday it is! Let's start an official head count and in the meantime try and pick somewhere to go!

I'm in, who else can make it this Sunday?

I'll obviously be there, hoping my wireless remote for my winch will be here in time....

And don't make fun of my tires, they are next on my list of things to replace haha

I believe we still need to determine that. Meet-N-Greet point, then ride or trail. Any ideas?

hah its not my tires are stock its that the front ones are WORN, the roads in arkansas are HORRIBLE compared to the ones here in bama (so glad to be back)

but I am out here in leeds/moody area so it'll be quite a hike for me to get there but i think its worth it for camaraderie and some mud flinging jeep havin good times, ill be bringing all sorts of tools in case of break downs

ive got an 8k lb. winch so i can help recover if anyone ends up stuck, where ever you guys decide on the meet n greet PM me the address and time

im excited, i havent been wheelin out here in bama yet, i bought my jeep while i was stationed in texas (nothin but mud holes) and then got stationed in arkansas (rocks and cliffs) so im interested in the terrain out here

Haha. Well I was just planning on coming to the meet'n'greet. I'm not quite ready to head offroad yet as my jeep isnt even a month old yet. Was just hoping to meet some local folks and get some tips and advice on getting started.

nice, stock JK's are nice offroad considering they come with bigger tires (stock size) all 4 disc brakes and you have a CV style drive shaft compared to us TJ and prior owners having a slip yoke, i indeed still have my slip yoke, that and your JK has dana 44's instead of my dana 35c (vomit) and im also pretty sure your transfer case is a 3:1 while mines a 2.72:1

that and yours is way more..... modernized so your much safer than all us rugged TJ and older owners

i respect the 3.7 pentstar motor and the new 6 speed manual, but it just isnt the AMC 263 from the original jeep manufacturer....

R.I.P. willy's (i rant a lot)

as for the dude coming to b-ham, i have no clue where trails are here but im down to ride, it's supposed to rain and storm all weekend but that just means more fun right?

Looks like it will be a wet one as well. Either of those places would work, there's also Pie in the sky, a sandwich place, and a little down the road in front of the new Walmart is Zaxbys and Panda Express.

So far it looks like the following Jeepers are coming:

Jeepster54
girlwiththejeep
iino27ii
kosmo04

wendy1969??
free78???

Anyone else? I am going to post up in the Tennessee board as well, some of them may want to join.

can't wait, I accidentally tore my muffler off today and now my 4.0 sounds like a 350.... a tad bit more power a bit more response and no change in fuel efficiency so ill let it stand for now.... (mind you I had a borla custom exhaust before hand cut off half way where the muffler tip hung down an inch below my skid plate)

That's bad news about your muffler. All the places for the meet sound good Gould we vote or have Kosmo just make the choice? I am good for anything food!

thats not bad news about my muffler, hah, one of my driveshaft ties broke at highway speed one day and well my muffler apparently didnt make a good dinner for my drive shaft so it got beat to hell and back, also tore my transfercase housing to hell and back, ive got plenty of em' (stories not transfer cases)

This is true....hmmm

On another note, looks like I'm buying some 37"s for my truck from a guy in GA and he wants to do it Sunday, but it would take me 3 hours to get over there, so I'm gonna push him back until next week.

Phil's is good with me, but I'll eat anything. Do they take reservations? Might be a good idea. I will be by myself as the wife is working.
