I just got my first Jeep. Dad used to have an 88 YJ he bought new when i was a kid and we wheeled it OFTEN.

I'm 34 and married with two kids now, and want to get them into the Jeep world. Ive been stuck in the truck world for a long time and now I'm coming home.

Anyway, my YJ is stock, for now, and my son (12) is very excited and looking forward to my YJ being his when he gets old enough :action-smiley:

We practice Tread Lightly Ideals and I teach my son the right way to do it, so hell be able to when the time comes to turn him loose.

I have heard of a couple of OHV parks in the N Alabama area, one that just opened recently, but have rarely had the time to go check them out.

Can anyone help me out with a few places in North AL / South TN to take the boy and teach him how to wheel?

Thanks Yall!

Gray Rock ORV - Home

Stony Lonesome is a good family place and there are now roads to the cabins (to the right of the checkin shack leading to the trails).

I was a trail guide at the Jamboree and the place is great for beginners when it is dry. If it gets wet, that clay REALLY comes in to play and things get interesting REALLY quick.

* Grayrock, near Gardendale, Al Gray Rock ORV - Home
* Morris Mountain, near Anniston, Al Home
* Wilborne Offroad, near Hanceville, Al Dennis Wilborn (Wilborn Outdoors) on Myspace

Thanks erickpl!

Stoney Lonesome is the one I mentioned being recently opened. I remember when it opened up a few years back.
