I got that. I voiced my opinion on a logo and he didn't like it. So be it. But I didn't go out of my way to tell other members I didn't like the ideas they came up with. Good luck with the poll!

You are right, I agree with you. You posted your idea and that is fine. I like the decal. I have one on my laptop and my toolbox. I just don't think it holds up well to the outdoors is all. My inadvertently quoting the wrong post might of given you the wrong idea but I went back and corrected my error.

My skills suck, but I thought that I would throw in a couple of entries...just with an idea that someone might be able to improve upon. The colored one could perhaps be available with WF letters in various Jeep colors....to match your vehicle color. We have color options now when we donate.

cheers,

Or perhaps with the letters in the rocks:

...or maybe with the letters kicked to the right a bit:

These were a bit rushed, but I could probably clean up later if folks think it is worth the time...or have suggestions. Okay, the wife is going to kill me if we don't leave for dinner now.

How about something like this except it says, "Only on Wrangler Forum"

I'm on my Laptop and busy with some things, if someone doesn't beat me to it, I'll mock up a design later.
You could either spell out Wrangler Forum on the Windshield or do a logo of some sort.

Thoughts?

Color wise, keep it black and white that can be reveresed. There are too many colors on which the stickers have to put. So you have to have white for some, black for others.

Not sure what you are saying, but the current wranglerforum.com stickers already come in your choice of five different colors...so I was suggesting supporting something similar. Any of these designs, mine or others, could be available in multiple colors...including just B&W:

Personally, I don't want a B&W sticker. I have a white jeep and a splash of color would be welcome. If the final sticker comes in several choices of colors, then there is a better chance you will get what you want.

looks too much like a certain registered trademark. that's why pixeldecals doesn't make the Jeep visor stickers anymore...

but... if you made this taller, drop the grille slots down while leaving the headlights across the top, I think it would be very 'Wrangler'. Try it, and let's see it.

I hope we get some more ideas, I like the randomness. Don't we have any graphic designers on here? Some ideas are clearly coming without any basic knowledge of design principles, I would like to see what someone that knows what they are doing can do. Believe it or not, there is definetely an ART to font...

I still like the upside Mopar "M" making up our wrangler "W". I would like to see a few variations on that. I have thought of things myself but don't have any type of "skills" really. I do know someone though...

A few slight modifications to the one 4Jeepn posted up but here is what I would like to see as our new decal.

In my mind, the URL should be in the new decal somewhere. How are people who've never been on our forum supposed to know what WF stands for? If someone sees the decal on your jeep and gets curious and your not around to ask... how are they supposed to know where to find you online in case they want to wheel with you or something? Just my two cents.

Here's something I cooked up in Photoshop Cs6..

I was aiming for a jeep with spare tire outline.. Now I know most of you are thinking.. What in the hell is this mess? Well as you guys can tell, I'm not very artistic. I supposed that's why I flunked art class

But I was trying to make the edges rounded instead of flat straight lines. Hopefully more can be done with the WF lettering but I'm not very artistic.. But I was aiming for a jeep outline

I'm looking for a decal that helps me recognize other forum members...and vice versa. I am not looking to turn my jeep into a billboard...or a rolling advertisement. Thus, I won't put a sticker with a URL on my Jeep. It's why when I donated to the forums, I also sent a message that said "keep the decal."

I am also not looking for something that has the word "Jeep" or the silhouette of a Wrangler...or a Jeep grill. My current Wrangler is already way over-branded...with those things on all of the wheels, the windshield, the front grill, numerous times on the dashboard, in the cup holders, and on the carpet...and that is from the factory. I don't need more jeep branding.

IMO, the elegance of the JK sticker is that it is simple and immediately recognizable to folks who know what it is. Thus, I personally like the simplicity of Matador's designs...without the URL or climbing Jeep.

Couldn't agree with this more.

Also, to answer coyote's question about how people can figure out what it means: try typing WF JEEP into google. This forum should be the first result.

My comment was in response to your question "why do we need to reinvent the wheel?" I thought you were suggesting that there is no reason to come up with a new design. If you go back through this thread, I think you'll find that creating a new decal for WF was my idea. I was just trying to explain why I thought a new sticker is in order.

Looking back, I can see that you were actually suggesting a new idea- not just criticizing the thread for submitting new designs when the site already has one. I didn't mean that I don't like your redesign idea- I don't like the idea of not redesigning at all, which is what I incorrectly understood your post to be advocating. Sorry for offending you, and sorry to everyone else for derailing the thread for a second.

I googled it and you're wrong. It comes up as the first 3 results. LOL

Hadn't thought of that. I could see not having a URL in the decal. I still like the Star with WF in the center the best but that's just me.

I like the simple block WF design also.

Plus I tend to shy away from most Jeep designs since they are mostly 2 doors. There is a large number of peeps that have 4 doors and it would be great to see those in designs also - if that is the direction the stickers are going to go.

I noticed on the bloody hand print decal, just change it to brown and it looks like a muddy hand.
Here's what I came up with just playing around in PS for a few minutes:

Yeah, I personally like the second one too. First one was just me messing around while I was bored.
As soon as I saw the post with the blood hand, changing the color came straight to mind and it really does looks like a muddy hand print. Someone that's better than me at PS could probably doctor it up to look better but this gets the concept across.

I am for the brown handprint. I also like the block letters with no URL. Would definitely run these on my rig. Great work guys!
