4 wheeling sometime soon?

Anybody want to go hit up the power line trails off of Peachtree Industrial in Suwanee some time? I have been there a few times and there are a couple of trails that lead off of there. Really steep climbs with some rocks buried in the clay and some water holes that are there all the time.

Found this video of it

Have you consider joining a local club? I went to a meeting of the Georgia Crawlers and they are having a trail ride in October if you are interested. After I go on the ride I am joining, they are really nice and helpful. Just a thought! Georgia Crawlers 4x4 Club

Be careful on the not so public trails. The fines can be steep.

As mentioned before, you should check into a local club. I am a member of the Georgia Bounty Runners and friends with the Georgia Crawlers. Both clubs do monthly rides, that should help you get your fill of trail rides and also you get to make a few new friends.

Only some parts of that trail are visible from the road. There is a second section over behind some more trees, then there are 2 or 3 trails that loop way back into the woods.

How steep of a fine are we talking about here? I see kids from Peachtree Ridge High School out there all the time. You can even see Jeeps out there on Google maps, yahoo maps, and live.com satellite images. Not saying that it is not illegal, just seems like it is an okay place to go.

I am just trying to find a way to go offroad without driving all the way up to the trails in N. Georgia. The gas and food to get up there in back make it automatically not worth it. Do the clubs go anywhere close to Atlanta?

I just get a little worried about powerline trails.

I have heard fines from $200 to impound of rig.

What do you consider close?

From where I live, this is how far trails are from me. These are places our club goes. We also have some access to some private land that is a bit closer.

Beasley Knob - 85 miles
Morris Mountain - 70 miles
Mountainside - 75 miles
River Rock - 100 miles
Tellico - 125 miles
