Any issues at Braves games?

Hey all! Hopefully one of you fellow Jeepers from Georgia have some tips for Braves games.
I'm going to the home opener on Tuesday (obviously a very crowded game) and was thinking about taking my JKU Rubi I bought last weekend. Weather permitting, I'd have the soft top off and would leave absolutely nothing valuable or interesting in there. Anybody had any issues or think I should any precautions? I'm a little nervous just cause she's brand new
I've personally never had any problem in all these years of going to games, but I've also never had a Jeep. And who knows what kind of lot I'll end up parking in at a really crowded game like this. Then again, I know people in just plain "regular" cars who have gotten broken into. Just curious of anyone's thoughta.

I have gone to several games over the past couple of years.. We have had multiple jeeps there at once and I have never had any issue with our vehicles being broke into or messed with. We always park in the same lot that is on the side street near the right field entrance. But it's like trail riding. it's your vehicle and your payment, if you don't want to do it, don't do it..Good luck and just enjoy the game. I will be there for the home opener.. Hope they win

i'd have trouble enjoying the game if I knew my brand new ride was out there with no top so people could just throw whatever trash and beer bottles they want right inside. I'd find another way to the game if it were me.

Those are some pretty seedy neighborhoods around that area.

If you park in one of the stadium lots there is a 99%chance that you will be fine. I've always said that if a car thief wants your vehicle they can get it no matter what so I just don't worry about it. I just say that is why I pay for insurance. If it is going to keep you from enjoying the game though just don't drive it.

I would never, ever leave my Jeep topless anywhere downtown.

When I park at the games, we usually park in the gold lot. It's pretty far back, but not one of the side lots.

I prefer to do the shuttle (train to 5 pts, then bus from underground) It's cheap and I park for free at the airport.

Whether the top is up or down would make no difference to a thief. I am always a concerned about some drunk a-hole throwing beer cans or a cig butt in, but it has never happened.

It all depends in who walks by it and their motive. Personally I don't leave mine anywhere that I'm unable to keep an eye in it with the top down or doors off.

Thanks for the info! I agree, that lot seems safe. But lord knows where we may end up parking tomorrow, especially if my friends can' get it together and get on the road early enough hah! Hope you enjoy the game tomorrow!!

Thanks for pointing that out! I was thinking top off was better, just because that means there are no windows to cut. Didn't even think about the beer bottles and all that getting thrown in there..duh! :/ I'm glad you said something!

Agree 100%. I'm just a little more gun shy due to just buying it. I gotta get some of the new worn off first! Plus I'd like to save that $1000 deductible for something way more fun!

Can you elaborate on your thoughts with that a little bit? I'm new to all this, and what I keep hearing is your windows are a great attraction for thieves and troublemakers to cut them, so I thought topless would be better? That is, until someone pointed out the obvious fact of crap getting thrown in there, which I completely overlooked.

Thanks everyone for all your input! I've pretty much decided against it anyway, due to the chance of rain alone. I completely overlooked the obvious possibility of drunk people tossing their trash and shit in there as they walk by, so thanks for pointing that out too!
I was thinking I'd be better off topless, due to the threat of someone cutting the windows, but now it doesn't seem overly safe either way :/ I just wanna enjoy my Jeep without worrying about some asshole spoiling the fun!

Whitney, since your new to this, with a soft top your better off never locking the doors. I've been lucky to never have anything messed with in my TJ, but even if the top is up, its empty inside and the doors are open. It is a hard habit to get used to but it will prevent thieves from trying to cut their way in. Seems thieves never just unzip windows to enter the vehicle.
