If you're up for some more wheeling next weekend, come to Morris Mountain.

Yup, like an idiot I thought that I had disconnected, but apparently I didn't (at least not at first) although I still made it (I love my Jeep)

You may want to upgrade to xfinity. Matt Ryan says it's fast.

Can someone post the GPS coordinates of the 2 trail heads for this road? I'm trying to add it to the site, but I can't find it on the map. I blame old age, or slanty eyes...

I looked at all the pictures and it looked like fun. Some parts look a little sketchy. Did you guys use a locker or lockers to get through that stuff?

Wei, I'm not sure what the coordinates are but be sure to search "Bend N Hickory Rd" or "Locust Stake Rd" Toccoa ga 30577. It's off ga-17.

Thanks! Where is the road we pop out of when the trail ends? I can work backwards from there. Right now I can't visualize it in my head...

The one end is 34.61570 N, 83.40669 W. The part to the Southeast is a little foggy to me too.

Is it officially closed off or could we just fix it by cutting that downed tree?

If I recall that first time we rode, the point where Dodd connects to Bend and Hickory was blocked with a large wall of dirt type barricade.

It's been a while but I would guess right about where that county line crosses where it says Glore Rd. There was an overgrown turn off that was barricaded a little ways in.

Thanks Mark! That pic helped a lot more than you realize. Too bad Google maps is not recognizing the dirt trail as an actual road. I guess I could try Bing... though I don't really want to.
