Break ins.

Hey guys, I'm in high school so I'm having to deal with douche bags.. There are these group of dudes breaking into my wrangler and just messing around. I've told them to stop an all that, reported it to the admins there. I need to do something. They've been turning all my lights on and leaving the doors open and pulling everything out of my car, just today it happened again and now my battery is dead and my car won't start.. Do y'all have any suggestions? This isn't meant to be a dramatic thing by the way, I'm just trying to get solutions because it's cost me 2 batteries.

It's called vandalism and is chargeable. Call the police and let them handle it.

To Mr Mac: the police claim they monitor the Parkin lots in the morning and afternoon which I know is bs. Ive gone through all the steps for authority short of calling the governor.. To Dunaj how easy are those to install? That is a good idea..

Send a message via Yahoo to CMA_Rider
You could try puting an alarm or hide a camera somewhere and show the police.

Not sure about your school and their security cameras, but I have 28 at my school and routinely capture footage for either police or admin investigations. If you have someone there that handles thge technology for the school have a chat with them, sometimes you have to by-bass the administration

Do they drive to school also? I'm sure a brick thru a windshield would do the trick

To n39: yeah we have a good amount.. It's just our police are really lazy and don't check it.. All they do is drive around in there golf carts.. I'm meeting with our principle soon to talk
About this..

a brick would work but i think some shaving cream, eggs, bologna would be great maybe leave an outline of a very embarassing msg for the rest of the school kids to see but remember if you go the next step they will take the next leap and it will all get all out hand befor to long

Another cheap option is to get a hood lock and unhook battery while parked so they at least cant ruin the battery. Also, I built a box in the back of mine that makes it pretty hard for people to get to the stuff and I keep the rest of the jeep empty of stuff. Its just some plywood and bed liner, with the tailgate locked its not coming out short of a saw. Good Luck man, people can really be sh!t heads sometimes. Also, I suggest a can of sprite and a few slices of bologna, does wonders for their paint.

To Drock: thanks man that's a good idea. How long did it take to make the box and for everything?

It only took a few hours. I just used cardboard to make a template of each side and cut my sides to fit around hinge and tailgate latch then slapped a piece on the seat side and painted it up. Pretty simple and then attached it to the floor of the jeep with the footman loops and some cleverly placed corner brackets. The cool thing about wood is its cheap and fairly effective. You can buy the insta trunk thing for a quick fix but My option was about $15 and my sub wouldnt fit so I needed a taller solution. Again good luck bud.
