Camping a little trail riding next weekend!

Hey guys a few friends and I are going camping around Helen. I'm going to try to get my Jeep out. If anyone knows of some spots around Helen please post.

If anyone wants to meet up and ride....Let me know.

Isn't Tray Mtn just another forest service road? I haven't been there myself -- gave up after heading out a couple of times, only to be out on dirt/gravel roads... only to Toyota Corolla's along the road.

Nothing against Corolla's. I'm sure they are good cars. However, any road that a Corolla can be driven on is not a TRAIL.

Try Beasley Knob as well... might be abt 30mi from Helen tho

It is a little better than a forest service road, plus some great camping spots higher up on the mountain. It is no Beasley knob, but if you are going to be in Helen it is close and pretty fun light wheeling. It does say you need 4wheel drive to access it.

Is there any good area to trail ride and do backcountry camping. We absolutely despise the campground camp sights.

There are some sites along the trail. One especially towards the top. I Hate campground campsites as well.
