Sunday would be better, or I could maybe do afternoon Saturday. I have something Sat morning that I don't think I can get out of.

I'd like to go. Not sure if anyone remembers but I posted a couple months back about a stolen jeep. Not to change the course of this thread but I ended up getting a stock 06 rubicon and would like to join up with some of y'all.

I'm on my long weekend from work and would be able to go Friday or Sunday anytime. I volunteered to cover an early shift on Saturday but could go that afternoon depending on the time. I'm in Gwinnett and am not picky about where the ride is.

It would be good to meet you as well. If you come up with a time and a place/trail I can map it and meet you there.

Where is Charlies Creek?

My son and I are camping somewhere Friday night and I plan on taking him up Bell Mountain on Saturday. I have a stock '08 Rubicon, so unless Bell is washed out really bad, I should be ok... but I'd like to know where Charlies Creek is?

Charlie's Creek Rd is E-NE of Hiawassee. Take Upper Hightower Rd (East of Hiawassee), off of 2, and it turns in to Charlie's Creek as you go East. Take Tallulah River Rd (South) when you get to it for a nice ride next to the river.

Last time I hit bell was 1997 in a stock 87 wrangler. We haven't had rain in North GA for a couple of weeks, may not be bad. Thanks for charlies creek directions!

I'll be heading that way looking for a spot to camp today. If there's a lot of daylight, may see how far up bell I can get to watch the sun set.

Well, it was a beautiful day. It was so good to get back on a trail. Charlie's Creek and Bell Mt were both very good. DoubleOSahara, it was nice getting to know you.

DD Crew, yet another silver rig. Mark, Mark, me, Dee and now Ben(DoubleO). I think all non-silver Jeeps may be banned in the near future.

Thanks for being my tour guide yesterday trailsnail! It was good to meet you. I really enjoyed getting out in the Jeep. I'm going to steal that picture for my avatar.

If the weather is good (big maybe, but it could be clear) I might try and go to Charlie's creek tomorrow. Or elsewhere if anyone else wants to go/has suggestions. I was talking to a nonjeeper friend who wanted to go. Just depends on how much I get done at the house today.

Beautiful day and a great view from Bell Mtn.

Looks like you had an awesome day to head up there. I have yet to see it on a clear day. Need to check out that view in person.
