Georgia Snow?

Anybody get to enjoy the little snowfall yesterday/today? I'm still not completely done with my YJ, but I buttoned it up enough to get it out last night for a quick little ride/photo op..
Post up if you got to enjoy the rare occasion too!

And a little late night ride..

Driving out of the neighborhood to check the roads. Little better than yesterday but it will be nasty tonight.

Winched 4 out of ditches. Pulled several up hills and took 4 others to their homes. Late night, got home about 11:30 and got another call at 1am. Took 2 more home and got home about 2:30am. Had fun helping others.

What was awesome was a landscaping guy dropped a bunch of bags off and we got the hill all cleared.

I tested out my new Harbor Freight winch on the way home from Kroger yesterday afternoon by pulling a midsize SUV, a full size pickup, and a sub compact something or other out of the ditch along Central Church road.

Back in 1968

Hi , I lived in Greenville,N.H. & there were 16 ft snow drifts that year & the locals thought nothing of it .
The people here in Ga. were poking an caused the traffic to come to a halt .
It'll happen again next snow fall in Ga. .
The Pilgrims move as if there were no snow at all .
If the fowl weather stayed around Ga. folk would learn to cope.
What is Really Nasty is the Propane dealers are gouging the gas prices from $ 1.60 to $ 4.00 + per gallon !!!!!!!!! The governor needs to make the gouging low lifes pay the money back to the people affected .
My thoughts . Biff

i agree with^^^
I would report them. The news reported that the governor made a declaration or something saying people couldn't gouge on those prices. I heard it 2 days ago.

glad to see all the Jeepers helping people out!
i was out til 4am towing cars up the hill at Ashford Dunwoody and 285. Still amazed by that - on ice.
most cars didn't have any hooks, so i looped the tow strap around the door frame.

the first car i got to at that spot around 11pm - a big SUV - had a newborn and no water for their baby formula powder. luckily my wife made me bring a bunch of supplies before i headed out.

It sure seems like this is happening way more than it used to. Remember back 3 or 4 years when it snowed and then stayed so cold that there was still snow in the shady spots 10 days later? That used to be unheard of in this part of GA.

Even up in the mountains where I am originally from we didn't really get all that much snow when I was a kid.

I'll bet we have had 6 or 7 good snowfalls in the last 10 years.

My buddy and I camped up on Tray Gap that night. Lots of jeeps coming through all night, but we were the only fools camping. Good times!

I finally had to put my headphones on and tune the office chatter out. I can't listen to this pandemonium anymore...... Calm down people.
