We bought our Lulu from Adventure Jeeps when they were in Cartersville. She's an '05 X. She had 32k showing on the odometer. After 3 days the throwout bearing went out. They took care of that..sort of. About 3 weeks later the front driveshaft broke (still haven't been off-road yet) they wouldn't take care of that. After the drive shaft the clutch went out no help with that. At about 41k the check gauges light came on and oil was disappearing. After trying every little fix for the issue I could find on WF, to no avail, I took it to a highly recommended mechanic in Hiram Ga and he pulled the heads and opened her up. Wow, someone had been in there before. The pistons were not factory and not to spec. the pistons wiggled in the cylinders. The crankshaft was not factory nor spec. So decided to yank it out and replace it. Had a used engine with roughly the same mileage, inspected and installed by my mechanic. After all the work she runs like a top. Will have to replace the convertors soon because all the oil We were losing was going somewhere and mostly into the convertors. Just be very sure you have a trusted mechanic, if your not one yourself, look over very good before you purchase. We love our Lulu and I really learned a lot from the whole situation, but would have gone a different route if I did more homework. Just my 2 bits. Good luck Jeeping is awesome!
