U-joint caps and burnt up roller bearings. I'm just glad to know what the problem is. Will probably replace all 3 joints on the rear shaft to be safe. Be good to be back on the road thanks to Chris - 4bangertj.
No specific place. They are greasable joints that I clearly did not grease often enough. It got dry, then hot, then....not good.
Live and learn, I should know better. These joints are actualy designed so that you can pump grease through them until it comes out around the caps. Basically allowing you to flush out any contaminants.
So word to the wise, if you have any greasable u-joints in your drive shafts or front axle shafts, grease them often.
I have been riding there for about 10+ years. There are some crazy trail back here but it is getting harder and harder to ride back there with out getting in trouble. Also if you ride down to the lake it is advised not to parkto close to the water. Technicaly the road stops then your on Core poperty and DNR doens't like motor vechiles sitting on their lake bed, I know that from first had lecture
There are tons of side trails and little spyder trails. You could ride out there for 2 days and not hit the same trail twice. Most of the bypasses are ok as long as they just loop around a mud hole.
I am moving next week to a house that is 1 minute away. It gets crazy down there in the summer on Friday and Saturday nights. Lots of parting. Georgia's REDNECK finest come out of the wood work
