Metro Atlanta Dealerships

Does anyone have any good/bad experience with metro Atlanta dealerships?

Namely (as these appear to be closest to the city) -

Landmark in Morrow
Thornton Road in Lithia Springs
Don Jackson in Union City
Ed Voyles in Marietta

Thanks.

I live in Newnan and passed up the DJ in Union City due to bad reviews. Drove to Marietta and have no regrets. My wife works for a Chrysler partner so she gets the discount. Drove up, picked a random salesman, test drove 2.. he left us alone after that. Not pushy at all. Emailed a few times, ordered, took delivery. Took about 4 months from the first test drive to delivery. No complaints.

I haven't tried the new dealer here in Newnan, but I think it's just an extension of Don Jackson.

We bought my wife's car at Ed Voyles and they were great! All of their cars are on their website and the internet price is their rock bottom and they won't budge any on that. We went wanting a Dodge Charger but decided it was just too much $. I told the salesman that we just didn't want to spend that much fully expecting him put the hard sell on us but instead he just sat back in his chair and said " I don't want you to buy something you can't afford. Let's see if we can find you something else." We wound up with a Dodge Journey and are very happy.

I've had a good service experience at Palmer in Roswell, and one of my friends has had a good one so far with a Grand Cherokee he has on order there. I bought my LJ new at Carmax in Norcross, and it was a relatively painless experience.

I'll second Hayes. I'm picking up my new JK from Hayes in Lawrenceville tomorrow. Very friendly, no pressure staff. Work is going to be torturous for me waiting all day tomorrow.

It's been a couple years since I asked this, but am now REALLY in need of replacing vehicle - so thought I'd ask again. I'd prefer to deal with dealership closest to downtown.

My 3 closest dealerships are:

Landmark Jeep - Atlanta (P'tree Industrial Blvd.)
Landmark Jeep - Morrow, Ga
Thornton Road Jeep - Lithia Springs, Ga

Anyone have any good, neutral or bad experience with any of them - sales and/or service?

Thanks.

I don't know why Ed Voils was listed in your original post and not the new one but I will sing their praises once again. Just this year we bought my son a Jeep Patriot from there. We dealt with a different salesman but had the same pleasant experience. No pressure, no hassle. Just helped us get what we needed.

I witnessed something while looking at my sons Patriot that spoke volumes to me about how Ed Voils is run. A young guy was bringing a used car back from their detail shop out back. I don't know what he did but he drove into the front of another car on the lot. A manager came out and looked at the 2 cars. He walked around them both then calmly said " Its going to be okay. Take them both to the body shop and we will get them fixed up." My wife told the salesman we were dealing with that she couldn't believe the manager was so calm and didn't blow up on the kid. The salesman replied " We don't treat people that way here. One of our things is that we treat customers and each other with respect."

Thanks for the input. Turns out that Voyles is the closest dealership to me after all, so will plan to go that route. If anyone has ordered new Jeep through them, I'd be interested in your experience.

the newnan dcjr dealer ship is a pain to deal with. Think I would go anywhere but there they are so bad. I think them being pushy is why they sell stuff to people that cannot afford it.

Ordered my Sahara from Voyles dealership today, which turns out to be about 20 minutes away from me. If the rest of the process goes as smoothly as ordering today, I'll be one happy camper.
