I'm going out this weekend to scout some spots. Redwine Cove (dalton), Bear Creek & Rich Mtn (Ellijay) and Blood Mtn. Don't know if I'll get to all 3. Just depends how good they are. I'll come back with the scouting report.
I'm used to hikiing in and camping alone. Jeeping I'm gonna be REAL cautious and wimp out if I need to. I've got some good leads close to Ellihay so I might not make it to Blood Mtn and I'll try that another weekend.
I don't know what I'll get so I didn't throw an invite on the forum but anyone is welcomed company. Im used to bein alone on the trail. Jeeping just needs different gear. I'm gonna keep it pretty tame and look for private property signs in some of the places local boys are recommending. My worst case scenario is a 1 day hike on Springer Mtn. Could be worse. If you got nothin to do this weekend...
Great FSR trails. All totally legal. Great scenery. Found some awesome campsites and some fun side trails. There's also some hiking (AT and a waterfall). I'll get some pix up soon.
Upside. These roads were made for jeeps.
Downside. It's one hour north of Dahlonega.

Spoiler alert! You will never be done with your jeep, especially if you keep going Offroad.
