There are quite a few good clubs around here. GaTrailRiders and NorthGeorgiaJeepers to name a few. Check out their sites and get in on some of their rides.

The way it's been raining you might be doing more winching than wheeling.

Just wanted to check in. Marietta/Kennesaw here. Usually wheel up towards Blue Ridge and take Cashses Valley Road through a series of creeks. Other options in GA?

I've hit the creek bed on a completely stock Sport S and had no worries. These is not my videos, but they're pretty good examples of the ride:

There are 4 or 5 water crossings-- none of them too deep for a stock Jeep. The whole surrounding area is national forest. There are a handful of houses along the road, but otherwise it's completely secluded.

If you're coming from the Atlanta area, take 575 North. It'll turn into 515. Keep going all the way to Blue Ridge (about an hours drive). Turn left on Hwy 5 at the McDonalds and go about three miles. Turn left on Old Hwy 2 and continue for a few miles. You'll start to see signs for Adventure Trail Rides. Turn left onto Cashes Valley Road at a T-intersection and continue to where the road forks (it's probably going to be gravel at this point). At the fork, turn right. This is the beginning of the ride. Again, there are maybe 4 or 5 water crossings, some fun inclines, and just completely gorgeous land all around. There are several places where you can turn around, so don't worry about having to back out all the way to the main road. The trail you're on will eventually dead-end into Forestry Service logging entrance, but again you can turn around there.

Have fun! If you see a black 4-door this weekend on the trail, give me a jeep wave (or winch me out)!
