Sahara for offroad? Is this a good deal?

I know a jeeps a jeep but im 17,this will be my first jeep and i have no clue what to buy.I found a '98 sahara with a 4in lift and 33 inch tires with more than half tread for $7000 obo.You can tell the jeeps been taken care off.Is that a good deal and what sets the sahara apart?I want to be able to go offroad on some trails and maybe a few mudholes.

Yep a Jeeps a Jeep. I have a JKU Sahara and a TJ Sport. Love them both. Would a Rubicon do better off road when comparing stock to stock? Yes it would. Get what you can afford then make it yours as money and time permit.

We have a 99 Sahara. It's awesome. You should be able to look thru old threads and find some picks of her. Husband goes by Cleveland on here and has the most picks of her. If you have anymore questions pm and I will get the husband to answer you.

You really need to take someone with you that knows what they are looking at if you are buying a modded jeep. Too many people cut corners. Look for diff leaks and your basic worn out parts.
