Question Should i buy a jeep wrangler?

Im 17 and im looking for my first vehicle.Right now i have a kia spectra but i drive my moms jeep liberty more than i drive it.I hated the jeep at first but now i love it so i want to trade in the car for a jeep wrangler but im not sure if im gonna like it.Ive rode in a wrangler, been mudding in a wrangler, and rode trails in a wrangler and i loved it.Im just not sure if id like owning a wrangler because i hear people say they hate them and to get a truck.I know im asking in a place where everybody drives a jeep but any advice?

Hate them? I don't anyone here will say they hate Wranglers!

I sold my first one a few years ago and missed it more than any other vehicle I ever owned.

Short answer is yes. Long answer is heck yes. I love mine. And I haven't met anyone who's told me they don't like it.

I recently got rid of my Ford Escape and picked up an LJ. The difference is profound, and I find myself enjoying driving rather than trying to get everywhere as quick as I can. I've also been enjoying the ride and actually not speeding all that much... Strange I know, especially considering I'm a young guy.

Best of luck on your decision.

i came from a vintage car background. built and drove old VWs thru highschool and early 20s. now ive finally got a 99 wrangler (newest vehicle iv owned by a decade!) and from my 2 cents - my roommates are jealous i can drive over everything - i love driving over everything - my girlfriend feels like a bad ass chick riding with me - i KNOW i can make it thru or over just about anything from ice to snow to rocks to sand and even up and over logs and trees.... driving a Jeep is a feel good vibe with a feel good community and being the most modifiable vehicle - theres plenty of work to do even by the time you get old

Find something with low mileage or you will need deep pockets and time to work on it. Especially if you go play. There's a reason they say pay to play.

I don't see how anyone could get tired of a Wrangler. There's sooo much that you can do it to make it yours. Not to mention just changing the feel of the Jeep on a daily basis by taking top off/back, doors on/off, windows in/out.
