Squeak when pushing Gas

Hey guys. Had my tj a month tom. I'm getting a squeak when I press gas. Let off and no squeak. Only while accelerating. Not at idle or neutral or cruising with foot off pedal. Just while any acceleration. Seems louder in higher gears. Any one have ideas? Any one in Newnan area?

Is it squeak or a whine? Squeak is a belt and whine is transmission.

I'm in Newnan. Where in Newnan are you? I can take a listen if you want. Not a lot going on tomorrow or the weekend so give me a shout. Is it just when you first push the pedal or at certain speeds through all your gears?

Do you have an aftermarket cold air intake or throttle body spacer? Mine whistles pretty bad on acceleration.

Thanks tom. At the fire station tom and crazy weekend. I do have an airaid intake. Not sure if its all the time. Some times it's real easy to hear and others is faint or not there. Seems worse when first driving through the day but later not as bad after driving a while.

Try tightening up your throttle body bolts. Describe the sound a little more. Is it more of a high pitched whining sound. Is it at a certain point in the pedal and you can push the pedal through it. Or is it all the time consistently through the pedal?

Also check your intake manifold bolts. Any kind of a vacuum leak will cause a whining sound while you are on the gas.
