I had pretty much assumed I had closure until the court documents showed up. Had no clue about drugs being involved or the credit card thing until yesterday.

It's nice having a Rubicon, but I really did like that Sahara. It just looked great. I'd be looking at putting a lift etc on now, but the new one cost a little more coin.

Good idea on the cable Sinister, the more barriers in a crooks way the less likely they are to take it.

how do you hot wire modern cars? I thought most had fuel shutoff circuitry via key chips? I had an 02 TJ Sahara and I thought that was part of the "anti-theft" feature

That was a nice looking TJ.. such a shame some meth head ruined it for you.

Mine didn't have a chipped key. I could be wrong, but chipped keys in the TJs were probably optional. I was told that keys with black rubber were not chipped and the keys with the grey rubber were chipped.

According to the detective it only required one or two wires from the area underneath the steering wheel.

You really don't even need to cut wires…I won't tell how on this forum but when my XJ was stolen in Atlanta it was ridiculous how easy it was for thieves to crank and drive away.

My new jeep will have multiple theft deterrents!
